Rangers fans are the source of the BJK chant and if you tune in to their games on tv you'll hear thousands of them singing it. What you won't hear is anything from the Scottish media or the SFA about this chanting, even though it is publicly smearing Scotland's greatest ever footballing figure. Right if you want to open a can of worms then we can start by saying about the catholic church, It has the highest child abuse record in the world and thats only what we know of, guaranteed that the actual figure where people were abused at the hand of catholics would be at least three or four times what is on record. Firstly can we please have Rangers fans (this source of this bile) stop pretending it is in the public interest for them to sing this crap. It has been well documented in witness statements that the man confronted Torbett and ended the association with him as soon as "he knew". He did not report it to protect the victims who he asked to report this abuse. The victims themselves stated that they were afraid of the effect on their own lifes if they came forward. The point is that it was a different time and Torbett was not a Celtic employee. If he had been this nonsense would at least have some basis. And as for the comment above from B.J. Knew lets set a few things straight. Youre assertion that our club was founded on bigoted Catholic principles is as shocking as it is false. Celtic was instituted as a Charity organisation which would raise money for the horrendously treated Irish immigrants of East Glasgow. That is why the club has a strong Irish and Roman Catholic background and tradition. The club were born due to the deeply ingrained (regrettably so) anti-catholic bias that had pervaded the Scottish establishment for centuries. The Irish decided to help themselves and this club was a leading example of what people can do when they try to effect change in their lives. How about looking a bit closer to home? Rnagers were not formed as a Portestant club, charity, or going concern. They were a football team which matched Celtic's stature and so naturally became a magnet for those who had a problem with uppity Catholics doing so well in a country where they weren't welcome. Rangers are not striclty a Protestant club by tradition they became one after they adopted a significant number of sectarian bigots who needed an outlet to voive their hatred for Catholics. I for one feel that there are problems on both sides but history is most definately in our favour with regards to the religious divide. There is no shame in celebrating your tradition and religion in a positive way, but regrettably in recent years any showing of religious pride is seen as divisive or sectarian.

I've read the various comments about Jock Stein who I regard as a great manager and have a lot of respect for and this is coming from a Rangers fan,I don't condone what the BJK brigade stand for but its another case of fans point scoring against their rivals it happens all the time.
