If anyone noticed, Dudu is the second Arsenal player in just over two years to have a leg or ankle broken by a 'mistimed' tackle. Abou Diaby had his ankle broken playing against Sunderland in January, 2006.

Diaby is not the the same player he was before his injury. I guess there was an inner fear that he needed to overcome, along with the physical damage he needed to repair.

It is shameful that when a player who is quicker or more skilful than another gets hurt by a clumsy or 'mistimed' tackle - and the tackler shows the remotest remorse - everyone 'feels' for the the tackler instead of the tackled. Does this help the Beautiful Game?

It seems like Martin Taylor got away with it easily by ''feeling'' remorseful in public while Eduardo has to feel his broken leg for the next nine months minimum'

It seems like Martin Taylor got away with it easily by 'feeling' remorseful in public while Eduardo has to feel his broken leg for the next nine months minimum. Is this fair?

So what do the rest of the league see from this example? Hack Arsenal - and hack us hard! Then your team will have a chance to win. When the other team start to do this, niggling little injuries like Aleksandr Hleb suffered may be retriggered - or in the extreme case like Dudu,  the career of a player is put on old until further notice.

At what point is something going to be done to end the tactic of hacking players rather than playing football? Does this signal the end of the beautiful game so personified by the Gunners?

Are you sure that Taylor didn't mean to break Eduardo's leg? I am very sure that Eduardo did nothing to warrant being hacked down as he was sprinting at full speed towards goal.

God bless the Beautiful Game - and God bless Eduardo.
