Priscilla Queen of the Desert will be showing throughout August at The Palace Theatre, London. In a story that follows the journey of a trio of glamorous singers across Australia, theatre goers with Priscilla Queen of the Desert tickets will be treated to famous hits such as I Will Survive, Hot Stuff and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Ticket prices start at £19 with Grand Circle seats priced at £44.
Sister Act: London Palladium, Throughout August
After starring in the original movie, Whoopi Goldberg will make her West End debut when she takes over from Sheila Hancock as Mother Superior from August 10th. The American actress will hold the role throughout August at The London Palladium. Sister Act tickets are available for all matinée and evening showings throughout the month.
Ricky Gervais: Brighton Centre, 18th August
Ricky Gervais is without doubt one of the most successful comedians in existence, and he will be taking his latest stand-up routine, Science, to Brighton Centre on Wednesday 18th August. Containing his usual controversial humour, the comedian's latest material has already entertained audiences in Bristol, Manchester, Cardiff and London in 2010. Ricky Gervais tickets are also available for shows in Bournemouth and Birmingham.
Kasabian: Brixton O2 Academy, 19th August Kasabian released their third album this year and recently pulled a huge audience as they headlined T In The Park in Scotland. Before their V Festival appearance later in the month, the band will be performing a one-off show at Brixton Academy on Thursday 19th August. Kasabian tickets are currently available below £50.
V Festival: Chelmsford and Shifnal, 21st-22nd August
This year's V Festival will be headlined by Kings of Leon and Kasabian, and the dual event take will place in the heart of summer on the 21st and 22nd August simultaneously in Chelmsford and Shifnal. Other acts confirmed to appear include Stereophonics, Faithless, The Kooks, Paul Weller and The Prodigy. V Festival tickets are still widely available from trusted ticket exchange websites. Reading and Leeds Festival: 27th-29th August
The Reading and Leeds Festival will take place over the bank holiday weekend of August 27th-29th and will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Guns 'N' Roses and Blink 182. Reading Festival tickets and Leeds festival tickets sold out from primary ticket vendors within one hour of going on sale this year but are still available on the secondary ticket market. Reading weekend ticket prices start at £225 whild Leeds weekend ticket prices start at £210.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo: Edinburgh Castle, Throughout August
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an annual series of Military tattoos performed by British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and International military bands and display teams in the Scottish capital Edinburgh. The event takes place throughout August and Edinburgh Military Tattoo tickets start at £17.
