Born and bred in Manchester on the Man. City side of town, as I kid I grew up supporting United, and had the pleasure of watching Best, Charlton and Law work their magic. I also got to see City at their height in the days of Bell, Lee and Summerbee.

For several years I covered soccer for the Jerusalem Post newspaper, before managing their web site took over my life.

The highlight of my sports career was witnessing United's European Cup triumph in Barcelona.

Nowadays I have to endure taking my kids to see Hapoel Jerusalem a real third-rate club. As a result I now appreciate what people go through in supporting a team that will never win any major prize. At least they play in red, black and white and sometimes kick the ball.

Although football remains my number one sport I have branched out in recent years to skiing and sailing. As for spectator sports.. I follow NFL, ice hockey, and cricket.

I recently joined the staff of Sportingo, and I am looking forward to some interesting and lively times ahead as together with our writers we try to redefine the future of sports media.
