The energetic Al Iman Gasket Company team engineered a late rally to beat Radicon Gulf Consult 58-42 in an Eastern Province Basketball League clash in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

James Kalaw made 10 of his 22 points, plus three rebounds, in the opening quarter and the gasket makers continued their prolific run against the Consultants with a sizeable 32-16 lead at the half.

The Consultants never threatened Al Iman despite the presence of Saudi sensation Ali Mustafa, who grabbed only four points and three rebounds. They came out flat and struggled the entire game, committing 13 turnovers against only four for Al Iman.

The gasket men ended a well-balanced job with Marwin Musa, Jeffrey Pangan, Pines Ampong and Edralin Paraiso combining for 32 points to help Al Iman to victory.

Only Rodel Lopez of Radicon scored a double-digit output with 13 points, while Reghis Mostajo and Ted Cari-ann had nine and six points respectively for the Consultants.

Laith Sports Center 'Animo' team earned their second win in as many outings, walloping Abdulla Fouad 81-40. The Animos came out strongly and sustained tremendous intensity and energy almost throughout for the rout, signalling them as one of the title contenders in Inter-Company Division B.

Coach Darwin Ronquillo's boys led by 25 points at the half-way stage and 68-34 at the end of three quarters. Things were so bad for Abdulla Fouad in the first half as they committed 20 turnovers, from which Animo produced 18 points.

Charlie “Papa” Bioca had a game high 35 points, Joselito Tapiru scored 10, Hermie Collado nine and Roger Sison added eight for the Animo team. Juanito Fernandez led Abdulla Fouad with 13 points.

Meanwhile, the 2008 Commissioners Cup champions, Metal Services Company, earned their third straight victory against newcomers Gas Arabian Services 109-91.
