A few weeks ago, by way of a diversion from football, we asked you to write an article about any young, talented  basketball players you thought might make it in the NBA.

This was prompted by the fact that more and more players from the Euroleague and Asia are finding their way to clubs in the United States.

The response was terrific, and you came up with a whole host of names, but the editors have chosen three winners. They are:

'The winners will each receive an official NBA shirt of the team of their choice'

1. Greg Varkonyi: The NBA contenders: Euroleague's best bets to follow Manu Ginobili and Steve Nash
2. Jose Miguel Campina: Rudy and Ricky - a Spanish double act ready to take the NBA by storm
3. Andres Schwarz: NBA alert: Esteban Batista can turn up the Heat on Alonzo Mourning and Shaquille O'Neal

They will each receive an official NBA shirt of the team of their choice.
