Nice article Barry, welcome to Sportingo. I'm not convinced that aving someone at number 8 who can bat abit makes all that much difference, The bowlers didn'tdo the job as it was and thyat's where to start - if they can bat a bit then beauty, but they're there to take wickets. England were behind they 8-ball from the start without Vaughan and the Trecothick and Freddie should never have been captain. Still, they get to have another go is 2.5 years time. Oh, and I hate to be a pedant but it is Simon Katich not Mark,

Please rest assured, I know Katich's Christian name. The article I submitted only had surnames - must be the public schoolboy in me. The error, therefore, lays with the proof-readers at Sportingo. I, for one, am disgusted!

Fair enough, but don't be too harsh, the editors do a bloddy good job on the whole and I think they're allowed an occassional mistake - pity it had to be your first article. I forgot to ask about the King of Spain reference, about Giles (I think), is it a local nickname?

At some point there was a whole load of merchandise produced for Gilo entitled King of Spin, but a spelling mistake led to it going under the name of King of Spain.

Hard to know which one is more silly really, he's unlikely to be either!
