I agree with a vast majority of Mark's comments. Fletcher has lost the trust of the English fans, and lost the respect of the players. He can no longer incite them to the level of performance required. He should do the honourable thing and step down. The question is, who is good enough to replace him? No English coach for a start. Too many pre-conceived judgments of individual's abilities, and weaknesses. No it needs a fresh face, and here's one to consider. Alan Campbell. Who, you might ask? A highly qualified and experienced coach from New South Wales; First class experience with the state, and extensive experience dealing with club, grade, state and test cricketers, from superslobs though to superstars. Would have a fresh, unbiased view of English cricket, would carry no grudges and preferences in to the job, and would be a FINE, FINE leader. I played under him for a couple of yrs at Sydney University, and believe me he is IDEAL. IF the ECB get to read this, think on: he's your man.
