It took the help of Bermuda for India to shine at the World Cup. The margin of victory was not as important as the confidence it did to the team ahead of the Sri Lanka game. Too much shouldn't be read into the form of the Indians based on the game, as the Bermudans were no more proficient than the Indian Ranji champions.

It was good to see Verinder Sehwag back to his best. He started the usual way, flashing outside the off stump, before getting back his touch and once he passed 50 he grew in confidence. Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga will test him much more but it looks like his place is secure now.

Sourav Ganguly again scratched around for his 50. He was not able to rotate the strike - this might be crucial against the other countries - nor was he able to hit the big shots easily. But he is one player who seems to keep going.

Yuvraj Singh's patented slog-pulls were great and Sachin Tendulkar also scored at almost 200 runs per 100 balls. It's strange why he doesn't go over mid-wicket or long-on -- his big shots went either behind square or over extra-cover. Mahendra Dhoni promised much, but couldn't get a big score -- maybe he is waiting for the Sri Lanka match.

The batting lineup for the next match should look like this: Sourav and Sehwag to open, Rahul Dravid can come in at 3, Sachin 4, Yuvraj 5, Dhoni 6, Irfan Pathan 7, Harbhajan Singh 8, Anil Kumble 9, Zaheer Khan 10 and Munaf Patel 11.

Most teams are playing two spinners, so why aren't the Indians?  Ajit Agarkar is out of form and should be rested for the crucial match, while Irfan Pathan should replace Robin Uthappa. Both spinners should play even though there are quite a few left-handers in the Sri Lankan team and Kumble doesn't like bowling to them. And Munaf should be given the new ball to have a blast at the top order.
