In the Holy Bible, we have the God-given Ten Commandments, which man should abide by to lead a sin-free life. Similarly I would like to put forward ten 'Golden Guidelines'  to the  new Team India cricket coach, whoever that may be after Graham Ford turned down the job.  These guidelines will definitely enable him to assure his job security and thereby lead a happy life.

1. Never raise your voice against the superstars or demi-gods in the team, for any grave mistake they make.

2. Never question their privilege of holding down a place in the team, even when they are struggling for form and fitness.

"As a coach, always defend poor performances of by making lame excuses"

3. Always be 100 per cent subservient to them, be it in making decisions regarding team selection or planning team strategy.

4. Always be their faithful servant, because without their support you might end up suffering the same fate as your predecessor.

5. Never try to promote young talent which could pose a threat to the position of the seniors. As mentioned earlier, inviting their wrath could pave the way for your exit.

6. As a coach, always try to defend the poor performances of the superstars by making lame excuses.

7. Never criticise the selection policies of the BCCI, however strange they may look.

8. Shut your eyes and cover your ears tightly if you happen to see or hear of any zonal bias in the BCCI's selection policies.

9. Be dumb in front of the media when asked about being a 'puppet coach' in the hands of BCCI and the demi-gods in the team.

10. Even if you are completely annoyed with  the selectors, BCCI or the demi-gods, always try to bear a smiling face.

So, keep smiling, Mr Next Coach I wish you all the very best.
