Dude I could talk for half a day why your wrong but I'll try to summarise it. Bradman was at his house with his wife when he first saw Tendulkar bat, and said to her 'I've never seen myself bat, but if I did I reckon this is what I would have looked like.' Also he said the greatest batsman of this generation are Lara and Tendulkar, and that its impossible to decide which is better.

Bradman Is Greatest Of All Time Sachin is 2nd Best
by chakravarthy on February 08, 2008
Sachin is da best, hands DOWN
In sporting context to be even with bradman a basketball player need to score 43 points per game, Jordan averaged 30.1. Tendulkar may have the most runs but his average is barely more than half of Bradman, this is really a no brainer, Bradman is not only the greatest cricketer but also the greatest sportsman off all time.
by xxxxx on February 08, 2008
There is no one like him...he is the best that has ever come...M a big fan! Love him....All the best to him and India for the ongoing series...
by Ranor on February 08, 2008
Sachin the best ever? YOU BET!!!
by Iskar on February 08, 2008
Sachin's without doubt the greatest ever! The Tendulkar baiters will realize just how good he is after a while. But to most people in the know he's got to be the GREATEST. Richie Benaud recently went on record to say that TEndulkar is the best he's seen since 1948!!! and he hadnt seen Bradman, who is actually the only competition for the accolade "greatest" at his peak. But of all the batsmen he's seen Tendulkar's the best. HEck,if Hes the best for Benaud He sure as hell should be the best for the tendulkar baiters!
by Sarma on February 08, 2008
We tend to ignore bowlers. If we take 20 to 22 runs as equal to one wicket, we know that Sachin is not the greatest ever. I feel that Shane Warne, Murali, Kapil, Kumble, Kallis, Steve Waugh, Allan Border, Ian Botham are greater than Sachin.
by n.n on February 09, 2008
I am an Indian, and to the rest of you idiotic Indians stop being bias and saying Sachin is the best, you are just embarrassing yourselves and other Indians. Bradman is the greatest sportsman of all time, Tendulkar isn't even, without argument, the greatest cricketer in his generation.

I have not savoured the artistry of Ranjitsingh, guazed the appetite for runs which DonBroadMan has displayed and clinical precision of Verity.I know very little about them except that Ranji couldnt maintain his health and fitness for a long time,I know that Sir Don has flinched against the body line attack of Larwood and Voce and Verity didnot score as prolifically as Sachin.I donot know the manner in whcih they conducted themselves on and off the field Among the post war cricketers Lara,Stevewaugh and Vivian Richards compare with Tendulkar. How ever Lara's conduct on and off the field will not compare well with that of Sachin. Our Sachin has already overtaken Steve Stats wise and Viv Richards does not possess the longevity as a top class batsman. Only one person who can compare well with Sachin in all these aspects is Sir Gary Sobers. But he is incomparable because he is an allrounder and iam sure no batsman who scores 365 can take 226 test wickets. No all rounder who captured more than 250 wickets can score
Bradman faced bodyline from Larwood, a bowler estimated to bowl at a pace around 150-160, add to that the fact that he had no helmet, poor quality gloves, no chest guards or arm guards, and if he did play a shot he would most likely find a fielder or end up with a broken bone, like some of his team mates did, I would like to see how Sachin would have fared in these conditions.
by Thomas Josey on February 09, 2008
Well.......well.....Iam feeling a bit exhausted after reading the above comments, arguments and counter-arguments. But let me focus on the author's topic. The fact that Sachin was able to be in the team for so long without getting dropped not even once is incredible. But let me remind you that his early heroics and past laurels has earned him a place in the team many times even when he was out of form. After playing for such a long time I think it would have been ridiculous to not see him among the leading run-getters. So..........an average professional Australian batsman who battle it out in the domestic circuit all his life and then enter into the international arena in his early 30s to set the world on fire with some magnificient performance..............is far better than a SACHIN TENDULKAR who has been in team since time immemorial
by rajesh on February 09, 2008
all the world is talking abt sachin he's not only a gud batsman but a good human being, This is the problem of most of the indians they wont admit anything, no one has seen bradman's batting and they still saying he is superb, I also respect him bradman. sachin has faced 100's of quality bowlers in different countries, different situations in both format of the game.
by Greg Smith on February 09, 2008
because he's NOT Australian !!!
sorry 'LIKE'

I think After Don Brad Man.... Tendulkar is Great... Or He is Equal to Don Brad Man....
by Partha Rajagopal on February 09, 2008
Sachin is a great player, no doubt. But he has his limitations, just like any other player. I do not know how Bradman would have fared in today's cricket. Surely he would be a great batsman. But may not have scored as well. There is a lot of technology in use now and players are a lot more professional. When the game is no longer a gentleman's game, the pressure becomes immense and players have to cope with it. Sachin is definitely a legendary player and compares with others like Lara, Martin Crowe, Barry Richards, Viv etc..
by Jazza on February 11, 2008
It does not matter what others think of Sachin. If cricket is a religion, Sachin is God. What he has brought to billions cannot be measured against other players or humans. On cold nights and empty stomachs millions of Indians have laid down to sleep with his cover drive replaying over and over in their minds. He has allowed indians to walk tall even though he himself is humble and unassuming. In a crowded room in Delhi, with Sachin batting, I have witnessed grown men shedding tears unshamedly as the ball races of his heavy bat to the boundary ropes. In a nation that has suffered much, Sachin has been carrying the expectations of a billion people everytime he steps out.He is not a hero..... he is more than that. There may be better players in various diciplines of sport who evoke more emotion, but for me....in Cricket....there is only one Sachin.
by Brad on February 11, 2008
Sachin is the best iv seen but wouldnt the best ever be an all rounder who dominates with bat and ball?

Sachin the greatest..NO doubt about that

dude....... bradman was a great great batsman...but he was never liked by his team mates because of his arrgence.....he use to p[lay 4 only himself not 4 his team.......all apart 4m this bradman never had a pressure of millons of people watching him all over the world......despite of the fact iam not taking any thing away 4m GREAT SIR DON BRADMEN...........i just want to suggest that ARUGUBLLY Sachin is the greatest cricketerever played this great game of cricket(might not be the greatest batsman.)
by Bernny Michael on February 17, 2008
without any doubt i would say sachin is the greatest as bradman palyed in the era where no much technique is used both in batting and bowling,,,so it was easy life for him that time,,,but the life now is not easy,,to play bowlers like mcgrath, shane warne, wasim akram, ambrose, muralitharan, shoaib akthar,muralitharan..so the one who plated all these great players without any fear ..is one and only sachin tendulkar..irrespective of his character, batting style, fitness, experience,,no body will match him.hats off to the little master..bernny
by anoop cj on February 17, 2008
i agree with mr bernny ..as brad man palyed in the era where no technique was not used..where as tendulkar a person who brought millions of people watch cricket despite of time it kills,,,a person who carries millions of peoples hope till now from the past 21 yrs ,,,the shot he plays is worth to watch than any other ,,even if he goes out in the next ball,,the shot he played will pay our money and time.just rem shane warne nightmare dreams ,,who has dreamt like that about any other ..did any body dreamt abt braddman..i dont think so..its one and only sachin,,there is no other player who has -better style, better shots, better character, better experience, better runs, better records,,,so wats the reason we debate ,,no matter of debate "sachin means cricket" "cricket means sachin" no one can take his place till 2030..might be some one come after that ,,,only 10% chnace for that,,just to make the minority who thinks sachin is not the best happy.might be all ur dobts are not cleared ,,if its not so sachin will reply with his bat.
by paul king on February 19, 2008
sachin is great, but to say better than bradman?? which one played on uncovered wickets?? which one played against fast bowling without helmets?? which one averaged twice as much as his peers?? I don't even think he is the best batsman of this era. I rate brian lara as the best in modern times. So does muralitharan who has the most test wickets of anyone
on February 29, 2008 on February 29, 2008
I dont think so that he is the best batsmen in the world. Just because of Media he become the popular cricketer. Though he has 27000 runs in international runs but have not come in the right time. Becoz whenever the Indai or coutry need him ne has not show any temperament. He is not playing for the country he is just playing for himself and record.I think he sholud retire from International cricket.Mostly he plays against the team like ban, kenya,Zim,Bermuda.
by Vikas Gupta on February 29, 2008
Sachin is certainly the best ever batsman. I have not seen Bradman, so its difficult to compare with him. But in the last 50 years, he has been the most dominating Batsman. Here are some of the key points to validate it: 1. Total number of batting records: These records are not related to any single innings like Lara's 400, or Afridi's 100 of 37 balls, these are the results of consistency he has shown over the period of 17 years. 2. total no. of Man of the matches he won (this clearly suggests that he has won matches for India) 3. Always under pressure of performing well. This pressure is not just about winning, its also about keeping millions of fans happy. We all know that he is the most beloved sportsman ever. 4. Technically Most Solid. Each of his shot comes of an excellently balanced body. Its always great to see his footwork, drives, pulls, glance, flick, cuts, paddle sweep and everything. 5. The most important: His critics always say that he doesn't perform well when team needs him. My only answer to this is whenever he is there on the crease, team doesn't need anything. India is always in disastrous situation when he is back in the pavillion.
by Gupta Vikas on February 29, 2008
Adding one more important point: Tendulkar has faced the very best bowlers: Australian Attack, Westindian Attack (Walsh, Ambrose), Murli, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib and others. But if compared with Ponting, he has never got a chance to face the greatest bowling attack (Mcgrath, Warne, Brett Lee, Gillespii) of this era. India didn't produce any great bowler except Kumble. So it's fairly clear that his runs came of the best.
by Rahul on March 06, 2008
Definately, Sachin is the best batsman. Everybody here saying that Don Bradman is the great batsman. He is a good batsman there is no doubt but at that time technology and electonics media was not that much strong. so, no team couldnt analyze his technics, strength and weakness and he was keep making runs. But Nowdays Tendulkar has to change his style of play after every series, even he stopped to play his some favourite strokes because opposition team always watch his old match recordings to set the field. There are many things which we should consider like duration of cricketing career, no. of matches played etc. so, The moral of the story is "Tendulkar is the best, not oppossing that Bradman is also good."

sachin is best www.itscricket.com
by sachin joshi on March 20, 2008
Reason why sachi is better than don. ya great he has got an 99.96 avg in a 5 day test game so what in the era where cricket was more of a hobby than a professional sport. 1. Tests matches were never know to be pressureful. ppl can score at relax and at will no runs per ball is ticking its a relax game. An ODI is a different ball game altogether, where pressure is tremendous. 2. Sachin carries the expectations of 1 billion fans who worship him as GOD. satisying the expectations of a billion ppl evertime u go to bat is something which no human can do it. but still sachin has done considerably well to such an extent that still people feel he is the best that ever was after 19 years from where he started. 3. With due respect to the legend don, i wud say thet era he played cricket was not competetive enough. 4, ok lets get technical now for all the geeks. can someone tell me whether there the swing bowling was there in that era, NO. there was no concept of swing bowling, reverse swing, googly, offcutters, leg cutters, yorkers which were intorduced lately in the 60/70s. Even the best spinner of all times shane warne and murali were not there in that era. Fast bowlers of that era who were considered fast wud be too slow in comparion today with brett lee, shoaib akthar and shaun tait. with such lacklustre bowling of that era even sachin wud hav averaged more than 100 no doubt. 4. we can say don was great because there was no one who cud challenge his potential he was not stretched, apart from that there were no 1 billion ppl screaming for his name and hounding him if he scored a duck. With all the above points I conclude Sachin is the greatest bastman this game has ever seen and most probably will ever see.
by Kiran Ramamurthy on April 04, 2008
I am an indian but still i beleive Sir Donald Bradman is the greatest Batsman followed by Sachin Tendulkar, Vivian richards and Brian lara!
by venkat on May 12, 2008
I agree with joshi. Sachin is greatest ever to play the game. I dont beleieve in what I havent seen. I didnt see don facing epress lee-akthar-tait trio, as deadly as warne-murali duo and as precisive as pollock and mcgrath duo. I didnt see don driving and placing the ball between the lkes of johnty and gibbs. The relaxing game don had played where the oppnts would cheer-clap him for drive through covers has no relevance to todays lethal fast bowling and fluid fielding displays spiced with untolerable sledging. In modern cricketing days, I dont expect anyone to command the same respect on and off the field and carry a billion hopes. I didnt see don to be worshipped as the GOD of the game. In a nation with mora than a dozen relegions, I dont expect don to unite them under one relegion called "CRICKET". As a true fan of the game I could only say "Cricket is my relegion and Sachin is the GOD". Hail tendulkar until last breath.

sachin is te greatest.hi "get it right " i wana see bradman facing ambrose or oter great bowlers in tis generation.
by Ashraf Mohammed on August 24, 2008
sachin is undoubtedly the second best to sir don....but he the the greatest batsman of the mordern ERA.....and also brian lara....but tendulkar has made us proud....he is a legend....hatsoff....little master
by Shail on October 15, 2008
Well, definitely Sir Don is the greatest considering his incredible average. One more thing if you compare Sachin with other players like Viv, Lara, Ricky etc etc..... Then u got to see the opponents against whom were they playing and how much burden they had on their shoulders. Its a well known fact that when Sachin started he was up against all the best bowlers in the world (Imran, Wasim, Ambrose, walsh, Mc, Dermott and all). Also Sachin has not got much support from team members (dependecy in batting) earlier till late 90s while all others in comparison had support. Example Ricky had Waughs, Hayden, Bevan etc. But sachin was not. There are many more aspects that prove that Sachin is definitely the best after Sir Don :-)
by Sujit Biswas on October 18, 2008
Guys nobody compares Jesse Owen with Usain Bolt, that was a different era so why compare Don Bradman with Sacin Tendulkar. No Doubt Sachin is one of the Finest cricketers in the world but remember he has been playing for so long with the single mindedness of setting up records. If you look at the stats of Brian Lara, Ricky Pointing they have also done very well in Test Cricket and One Dayers and their averages are the testimony, comparitively they have played less matches then Sachin Tendulkar. Also cricket is not religion in west indies and Australia as it is in India, there the players join cricket relatively late or just as an hobby. So guys stop comparing as India is the only country where cricket is such a big deal(maybe Sri lanka or Pakistan). It is like saying "Heads I win Tails you loose". I think We need to grow up and not look into the world through a needles hole.

I am a great fan of the master blaster since my childhood. He is my hero in terms of cricket. Indians gain their hope once he enters the field. He is so simple that even after earning such a name and fame, he is polite to medias and his fans. He replies the comments on him through runs and not by words. Don Bradman, who was a great legend of all times had his dream team, in which Sachin was there. He commented that Sachin,s game was so close to that of his. We should be proud to be Indians and to have a great man like Sachin in our team. Am sure that he is the greatest ever cricketer the world would've. He is a living legend. He was my motivation to become a cricketer.

I can go on writing for days about sachin's greatness, but let me tell u in a nutshell- SACHIN IS THE GREATEST SPORTSMAN
by wayne challenger on April 28, 2009
HOW anyone in their right mind could ever think sachin is the greatest cricketer? this is a batsman who has never ever won a game for his county off of his own bat with little contribution from the other batsmen, this is a player who has failed time and time again when his team need him to step up and score runs, this is the worst batsman in crisis situations in the history of the game such as when the score is 10 runs for 2 wickets. this is a player who has 4 double centuries in his career 248 verses bangladesh RUBBISH BOWLING, 201 verses zimbabwe RUBBISH BOWLING, 217 verses new zealand AVERAGE BOWLING, and 241 verses australia when their 2 best bowlers MCGRATH and WARNE didnt play. YOU all have to be joking.
by wayne challenger on April 30, 2009
and then someone in an above article said sachin is the best batsman cause he is the most dominating. hahahaha well that made me laugh lol i guess maybe the person dont know what the meaning of dominating is because they went on to say that sachin has the most batting records. well from when records make you a dominant player? geoff boycott once had the record for the most test runs and he is the most boring batsman ever to play the game. and dont say not such as lara 400 because if sachin play another 500 matches he would never be able to play the kind of innings lara has played.
and to the person who said sachin has the most batting records it have to be you all dont follow cricket. sachin has 2 records in test cricket. MOST RUNS, MOST CENTURIES, and they are not major records because they have come with the amount of matches he has played. garfield sobers once had the most test runs, why? MOST MATCHES, geoff boycott once had the most test runs why? MOST MATCHES sunil gavaskar once had the most test runs, why? MOST MATCHES allan border once had the most test runs, why? MOST MATCHES. when lara had the most test runs he NEVER had the most test matches. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND.

I am a english supporter of cricket and have been following domestic and international games for 30 years now. Despite youhave to take in account that the games of cricket have changed a great deal since don bradman and other great cricketers. The question is always asked is Sachin the best batsman in the world or not. Well bowling has been more agressive and spin is played alot in the last 10 to 15 years. My personal judgement and as a domestic player myself sachin records speaks for it self. In one day games or tests or domestic the sachin has to be the worlds greatest cricket legend ever his figures speaks volume. When the question is asked who do you want to be like the name always comes up sachin tendulker he is a great player to watch. Brian lara is also very good and hold records aswell but sachin records are much more greater than other cricketer I have seen. And yes I will pay money to watch his matches.
by vipul deshpande on July 21, 2009
bradman was a great player but sachin is greatest , the greatest is almost very small for him, he is a dad of cricket and no one refuse it,speciality of sachin is that he never say anything to critics his game answer them ..........
on August 19, 2009 on August 19, 2009
Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer of all time. His record says it all. most centuries and "most runs in both the forms of cricket" with 425 odis and 1502 test matches the amount and cricket he has played and consistency he has shown is unmatchable.
by jackie karmarkar on August 20, 2009
oh, stupid v r not bias..bradman had only played against england n he did not had billions of xpectations frm the ppl..bradman is the 2nd best..
on September 18, 2009 on September 18, 2009
I agree that Tendulkar is greatest batsman of all time and also a strong contender for the greatest cricketer of all time since bowling is very difficult job too, I think greatest cricketer of all time should be a bowler or all-rounder.
by rahul bhat on October 06, 2009
tendulkars stature is far above anyone
by Daniel Christian on January 05, 2010
Sorry folks, there's only on true Cricketing genius. Sir Garry Sobers would hit Bradman for six 6s if he could bowl, and bowl out Tendulker for a duck with one of his googlies, or catch him in slips with his cat like reflexes. Maybe it's his highest test score 365* (that's not out) as opposed to Sachin's 217 (out) hmmmm. If you want to talk about Greatest ever Batsman, I'd give it to Bradman, Then Sobers - then you folks can argue over third place, but the greatest "Cricketer" of all time? Get the title right please.
