Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken and Ishant Sharma lead way as bowlers herald new order
The current tri-series Down Under has witnessed a resurgence of bowling as the Australian, Indian and Sri Lankan batsmen find it difficult to come to terms with pace and swing. The overall effect is good for the game as contests are more equal.

From seeing the first few games of the tri-series in Australia, it is pretty evident that the bowlers have the edge. Is it a new trend, the return of the battered bowlers? Or is it confined only to the true wickets in Australia?Australia have lost Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath from their frontline attack but Brett Lee has risen to the challenge and proved that he is the leader of the current pack.
Nathan Bracken has been miserly in all his spells and has benefited from the Lee effect at the other end. Batsmen usually try to take advantage of Bracken's slower pace and thus lose their wickets.
The supporting cast of Mitchell Johnson and Stuart Clark have done a decent job in ensuring the opposition batsmen don't get away after the initial spells.
The Aussie batsmen, however, have not been so consistent. Adam Gilchrist has been scoring in spurts, in what is his last series, Ricky Ponting has been going through a rare slump while Michael Clarke and Andrew Symonds have done well but not consistently enough.

South Africa has a fresh batch of quicks and lads that swing it at 150 km's plus... Steyn, Morkel x2 and Van Graaf. I think you are in for a blindside surprise if you think the Aussie, Indian and Sri Lankans are a handful ! Haaa haaa, good luck handling the Proteas !
