Time for the Aussies to rest Ponting and give youth a chance
The tour of Pakistan will present an ideal oppotunity to test out future talent. India have done it, and so should Australia.

Funny thing about fans... they support THEIR teams... so I'm sticking with the Protea's, the NUMBER 1 ranked ODI team (soon) and also the NUMBER 1 ranked Test team (soon). [Not bad for a team that started playing international cricket about 15 years ago !]

I am from old school. I applaud every player when he performs well. I also encourage a player who is down. It does not matter if he is Indian or anyone else. Talent has to be appreciated. Then comes the competition. I am not the type who celebrates when the opponent has fallen down. I believe in both warriors having a sword on hand and fully fit to fight. I do not like one sided duels where one of the competitors is hurt or out of shape. If I enjoy that kind of a duel, I will be the loser. I support all teams for their health and well being.

Ponting should have tried Hilfenhaus in the CB series. He would have been the counterpart to Praveen Kumar and swung the ball really well. Swinging balls can unsettle any batsman. Under pressure circumstances, it makes things worse. These are the occasions where talent should be given a chance and not allowed to go waste.

Hilfenhaus wouldnt be to far away
