I am already scared stiff that England are going to get stuffed. Time to take a large gin and tonic and hope they are still alive and kicking in the morning.

As a huge aussie fan, things are looking fine and dandy with Ponting again in great form. Man do the english bowlers suck. Barring flintoff, none of the other seamers have looked even half-decent. England haven't a chance in hell this time

Australia are clearly a level above England. There just was not enough bite to the English attack. Ponting is on cruise control, and there is just so much batting depth left in the green caps side. I just don't see England being able to get back into the game. Australia are going to get over 450 and the hgher their lead the more likely England are to disintegrate.

not fitto wear thethree lions....what kindof rubbish was thisfrom england..i wish i had gone to bed

What a lovely day to be an Australian. Almost 350 and only 3 down. Just think, next in Clarke and then Gilchrist. The only thing Australia needs to remember is not to get cocky. We did win big first up in 2005 as well, and then injuries and poor batting took their toll later in the series.

Not sure if it is worth trying to get up in the middle of the night for more punishment but I am setting the alarm clock. Time to pray for an English revival. Just hope the lads have found some new balls.

Woke up to see England struggling again. The only thing worse than England bowling under pressure is England batting under stress. With England needing over 400 just to avoid the follow on I think they are going to self destruct after they lose two early wickets. Last year seems like a dream and I don't see any players with enough character to salvage us from this mess. It's a bit like the England football team, lots of hype but at the end of the day no skill, technique or passion to come up with the goods.

Oh my! Guy's prediction has come true already. England have lost two cheap wickets. What losers.

"A fart competing with thunder." England in Australia in 1990-91, as assessed by their captain Graham Gooch

Day 3 has been a total embarrassment. I feel sorry for the poor souls who made the trip to Australia to watch this spineless so-called England team. Australia are making fun of them.

At least Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood showed some grit today (day 4). With a bit of luck the weather will turn and a wash out will save English butts.

Lucky for the Poms that Ricky took pity on them. A loss by an innings and plenty was on the cards, until Punter took the safe option. On to Adelaide now for the second installment. I think it's time to clear a spot on the mantle boys - the Ashes are coming home!
