Yesterday at the Emirates, Harry Redknapp proved to us that he has the quality managerial skills Spurs need to progress.

The first goal was a stunning 40-yard shot from David Bentley. There was controversy surrounding this goal, however, as an Arsenal player looked to have been headbutted in the build-up, but the referee waved play on.

Arsenal's response was also shrouded in controversy. Bentley tried to take the ball around Gael Clichy but ended up on the floor. TV pundit Jamie Redknapp in particular thought it was a blatant foul. Again the referee played on the ball ended up going out for a corner. It was from the corner that Mikael Silvestregot the first goal of his Arsenal career with a header.

After half-time, Arsenal took the lead when Robin van Persie was awarded a free-kick out on the right after minimal contact from Tom Huddlestone. I didn't any foul in the replay, but clearly he wouldn't just fall over. Would he? Anyway, the free-kick was belted into the box and headed home by another centre back, William Gallas. By now most Spurs fans would have been fearing the worst as we all know what usually happens when Arsenal are leading at home.

They then extended their lead when Samir Nasri chipped the goalkeeper. His shot did not seem to have enough power on it, so Emmanuel Adebayor cheekily nipped in and prodded home - at the expense of Alan Hutton, who fell into the net.

Then Spurs responded. A strike from sub Darren Bent brought the game back into the balance, but almost immediately a Hutton blunder led to a strike from Van Persie to make it 4-2.

Jermaine Jenas fired another in to make it 4-3, a goal which seemed to give the Tottenham team a real drive. Deep into injury time, Aaron Lennon made it 4-4 and all Tottenham fans and players celebrated emphatically, with David Bentley saying: "I feel like superman at the minute!"

With a new 60,000-seater stadium announced, things seem to be looking up for Spurs. Can Harry Redknapp bring to us what we have wanted all these years?
