There seems to be a lot of work going on at the Lane recently. First off, Harry Redknapp has brought the Tottenham fans what we needed - some wins to cheer.

Five of them since he was installed as manager, with an amazing draw at the Emirates, which I thought was as good as a win. His first defeat was against Fulham, whose home record is bettered only by Liverpool and Manchester United. But there are a few things that Redknapp must do during what will be a challenging season.

1. Get Heurelho Gomes back on his feet. Underneath all the blunders and mistakes, there is a brilliant keeper. Imagine moving to a different country to play in a different league. It takes some settling in, but I feel he has the ability, once he can restrain himself, to be a good keeper.

2. Make sure Daniel Levy doesn't get on his back! I have read that the chairman has started to show up at training sessions. Only one thing to say to this: Harry WILL NOT work with someone breathing down his neck. Leave him alone, Levy!

3. He needs a new left-back. It's not that we have bad left-backs, it's just that there has been a scarcity of them recently. Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who is a bench player at best, has been playing the role recently. No offence to the guy, he isn't a bad player, but we need a stronger type to fill in when Gareth Bale isn't available.

4. Get Roman Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent playing together, or get a new striker. Pav and Bent are two good frontmen, but we cannot play a lone striker game until we get a good playmaker. Luca Modric, brilliant recently, has not fully settled in and is now injured. I think it is imperative that we play two strikers up front, or find someone who can play with either or both of them.

5. And last but not least - DON'T let go of the Carling Cup! Defending the trophy would bring a huge morale surge midway through the season, when it really counts. Only Manchester United and Arsenal remain of the top eight Premier League teams, with Watford, Burnley and others still in.

In all likelihood we will draw Arsenal in the semi-final and win again - fingers crossed. There are only three games to go to the final, so we should be fighting all the way.
