Most of you will have heard that Manchester City have already completed their £12m swoop for Wayne Bridge. And some of you will have heard that manager Mark Hughes is close to completing negotiations with West Ham over the prices of Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker - and with Blackburn regarding Roque Santa Cruz.

City fans will be overjoyed at the signings of Paraguayan ace Santa Cruz and Bridge. But the same can hardly be said about the West Ham pair. Both are good players but not exactly the world-class wonders the moneybags Eastlands fans will wanted.

So the one question is: 'Will City put their money where their mouth is and launch an astonishing quadruple bid for world superstars including Valencia duo David Villa and David Silva and Bayern Munich's Lucas Podolski and Franck Ribery?'

It seems highly unlikely that they'll sign all four players, but they are all as of now AVAILABLE!

German wonder Podolski has been placed on the Bayern transfer list after falling out of favour with the new Munich boss last summer - and a bid of £12m could be enough to prise him away from the German champions. Bayern have also slapped a £55m tag on French star Ribery after inquiries from Real Madrid.

And as for Valencia, they stated during an interview which can be found on the Sky Sports website that they wouldn't be happy to see the two Spanish assets go - but every player has his price and would accept any substantial fee.

So what do all you Man City fans think? I'd love to see your comments.

Should City plough ahead regardless? Or should they slowly build up the team bit by bit and for now settle for Bellamy and Parker?

I think basically Hughes knows best and should be allowed to do his job. Simple as that really, while some of those european players would be nice we can also ask do we want to risk it having to try players that are untested in the premiership?

personally now SWP is out for a while and with Petrov already out, I would go for Ribery who can play on either flank. Bellamy is a very good player but his injury record is poor and he is well known to cause problems in the dressing room, I would not be happy to see him come into a squad that already seems to have fractured. Not convinced by Santa Cruz, good player but he too has terrible injury problems. Parker would be well worth a punt if we can keep him fit and this would allow Kompany to drop into the back 4. I think David Villa and Defoe would be good signings up front. Would also like to see us get Benayoun to replace the idiot Elano. Cambiasso or Alonso would be a great signing in midfield but doubt either would come in Jan. Given and Toure would be excellent at the back. I'd let around 5 players go too...
