The 'will he, won't he' question over Cesc Fabregas's Arsenal future could be answered soon.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta claims that his Spain international colleague is reluctant to hand in a transfer request due to his relationship with the supporters at the Emirate Stadium.

"Cesc wants to be with us, but he told me how close the Arsenal fans are to his heart," Iniesta told the News of the World. "He is a special player and I hope he wins the title at Arsenal this season.

"For them to win Cesc will have to stay fit and injury-free but he deserves to finish with a title. For all the work and effort he has put in at Arsenal it would be a shame if it was all fruitless."

After all the antics played out by Barcelona players and directors - including a plea from Iniesta himself - it seems that an acceptance of the staus quo is gradually seeping through the Catalan club.
Whether it is delaying the inevitable for just another 12 months remains to be seen but it seems that Arsenal fans may now be abloe to stop worrying over their talismanic captain.
