Raul is about to leave La Liga for the first time and sign for Schalke 04.
Real Madrid tickets
The Real Madrid striker is to disappoint Tottenham and Newcastle who had both expressed an interest in bringing the player to the Premier League.Instead the Bernabeu legend will join the Bundesliga club as he embarks on the last chapter of his playing career.
"He will be a sensation in the Bundesliga," said clearly thrilled Schalke manager, Felix Magath. "He will be an important player for us and will give a lot to the team."
The move brings to an end a glittering career in Spain where he became the all-time leading goalscorer for both Real Madrid and the Spain national team. Raul also holds the goalscoring record in Europe's premier club competition - the UEFA Champions League.

Wouldn't it be something if Schalke were to come up against Madrid in the Champions' League and Raul were to score the winner?! I wonder if and how he'd celebrate!
