The Portuguese defender has recently talked about his desire to work with his former manager for a third in the Spanish capital following spells together at FC Porto and Chelsea.

Mourinho has now spoken in glowing terms about the centre-back as the flirting between the two compatriots continues.

“I always said that Carvalho is one of the best in the world,” stated the Special One who when pressed over whether he would be making a move for the player said simply: “We'll see what happens.”
