Any player in any sport can get an MBE. Al you have to do is have your collegues nomnate you for one. Practicaly any sports personality who gets nominated is guarenteed a MBE. I've also heard that you can pay money for one.

Its been a while since football concentrated on winning medals. It is just a pity that the medals they eyes are on are not awarded for footballing brilliance, commitment or effort.
