I back Martin Jol to put out the Spurs foetal XI and rest the first team this weekend as I am pretty sure a group of pregnant women could dispatch a Watford team short on ideas, skill, endeavour, belief and talent.

Then again, there is always the famous Spurs inconsistency and more than one winning run has been thrown away against a circus team with big red noses and oddly-shaped boots.

Berbs [Dimitar Berbatov] will probably be sent home to bed with a book in preparation for putting the Overpriced Squad of the Century to bed on Monday and lining up an FA Cup Final at Wembley with Manchester United (after a quick match of football vs anti-football with Blackburn). That is assuming they find enough form to also sting the Hornets senseless.

Watford, regardless of their state, are bound to breach a Spurs defence so leaky it seems it was installed by a cowboy plumber. But Jol's all-new "we'll score one more" policy, much loved by all Tottenham fans, is bound to win through in another exciting encounter. One must never discount the venom, though, of a side that have no more pressure on their shoulders. But, guaranteed a Championship place next season, Watford are more likely to store that venom for the FA Cup tie.

Of course, with Bolton up against Manchester United and a probable draw between Reading and Portsmouth, should the Lilywhites take the game they should find themselves just two points off the much-coveted fifth place and showing the best form of all those competing for it. Wwith the final run-in coming up, it seems that only a turn in fortunes for Bolton or a good run-in for Everton could pip Spurs to the post.

So Tottenham look good for the 'Best of the Rest' title with the FA Cup and UEFA Cup also still to play for. Will they show flair and courage to take all three - or will they bottle it like times before? This pundit backs them to take two of those crowns.
