3-0: Cahill delivered on his pre-match warning while Andy Johnson repaid his manager for bigging him up all week.
Liverpool will again be disappointed at looking off the pace, Peter Crouch and Robbie Fowler started up front with the former strangely not looking as deadly as he did against taxi drivers and policemen from Andorra. Kuyt came on and didn’t do a whole lot. Benitez may be over the moon at having four strikers, but it’s no good if none of them can score.
After brushing aside Tottenham with ten men, David Moyes masterminds another fantastic win…although we wonder if KopBlog is to blame. Everton is looking organised and cohesive like they did when they claimed fourth a few years ago, only plus a prolific scorer in AJ and with James Beattie still to come.
If they can stay healthy, there seems little doubt that Everton have the industry and spirit to brush aside most Premiership teams this season and, with Tottenham and Arsenal already struggling, will be optimistic about their chances for fourth.
