Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha You are a comedian, keep it up. You crack me up. If Spurz "decide" to break into the top 4. Thats like me saying if I "decide" to shag Jennifer Lopez tonight then I will innit? Like I said keep up the jokes, you kill me!!!!!!

Got to be Arsenal for me! there going to have a shock this summer as i think a good few of their players will be leaving the club!COYS

That is the biggest load of rubbish i have ever read. Spurs are a million miles away from challenging Arsenal and Liverpool and even further away from Utd and Chelsea. Ask yourself whether any of Spurs team would get into any of the top 4 teams. I say Berbetov at Liverpool or Arsenal. Robinson at Arsenal and thats it. Lennon is extremely overated and not consistent enough yet at this level. Your comments about Benitez not being the man to retsore Liverpool to greatness is also absolute garbage. Look at his record since his arrival. Look how long it took Ferguson to win the league. It takes time to assemble a league winning squad. Look at Martin Jols squad. Very average with a few good players in there. Please do your research and put your brain is gear before posting such nonsense PS - I am a Liverpool fan by the way.

sad, sad article from a fan wishing for brighter fortunes

They think they're unbeatable but they aren't really. Spurs shouldn't give the top guys so much respect. Bugger em, if you want it Mr. Jol, YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT!
by Cesc Magnifique on April 26, 2007
more chance of Reading breaking in, they are bigger than the spuds.

Sorry, but the team who looks most vulnerable at the moment is Tottenham. Can't see them muscle any of the top 4 out. So keep on dreaming. You'll always walk alone.....

What, 12 points (not including cups) is a million miles? Do me a favour, talk about an inflated sense of self worth. Ha, ha

When the premiership was first introduced, Arse and Spurs wereneck and neck. Through a non-footballing chairman, and a series of equally poor choices of management made by him, We floundered in thel ower-mid table regions, relying solely on the passion of our fans. That time has now passed, and a new era is upon us. This time around we have a board thats football orientated, a basis of a good team, and more importantly the capitol to purchase the quality we obvoiusly need to break into the top four. Personally I would like us not to compete in the UEFA cup or take the league cup as a serious target. Those two competitions took the onus away from going for a CL,That was there for the taking, if you consider our poor start this term. We cannot let it slip this time around, or else it's another generation of sub standard, mid-table, mediocrity I'm afraid.

If I was Spurs I'd try to concentrate on getting into the top 6 before I worried about the top 4. As it stands, Bolton stand more of a chance of getting amongst the top 4 than Spurs do.

You analysis is intresting and probably accurate. It lacks however in the common sense area of logic. For Spurs to muscle in on the top four, they would have to improve by a very large ammount, and in one summer. I recently saw the match against AFC, and apart from the first 27 minutes ( allowed at home) they were outthought, outplayed, and extremely lucky to get a point. This AFC side you say have no strength in depth. As a lifetime (57 years) as a Gunner, I can honestly say that this is the strongest AFC squad Ive ever seen. it has been however the most injury wrecked for two consecutive seasons that ive ever seen too. So after losing an average of 7/9 first team stars for over 25 matches this season, to get to a Cup Final with our reserves and lose to the most expensive array of stars ever seen in the world, is not a bad season. These same kids also destroyed the Spurs full team at Spurs and at the grove. Then murdered Liverpool away twice. The only reason these kids were playing anyway was because of

they will be lucky to finish in top 7.

Spurs had their best and probably only chance of a place at the top table last year and blew it. Never mind the last day fiasco, Spurs should have been out of sight by then. We competed with and led Arsenal twice but did not have the belief to finish the job. This year Arsenal have gone up a level and Tottenham are treading water I'm sad to admit.

Spurs have a very long way to go to even sniff the top for again, Your a jester alrigh, your nalysis of refa is a complete joke, Champoins lg winner, FA cup winner, and in the semi finals of the CL again. Jol would kill for a similar record. The sad truth is that with the American money coming lfc way they will pull even further away from spurs, U need to concentrate on holding on to your best players i.e berbatov, lennon, The real big clubs Current top 4 are ciricling

..."if Spurs decide to try to break into the top four....",you what?So your saying they haven't been trying up till now?
by matt on April 26, 2007
Fair enough, Chelsea and Man U are relatively strong at the moment but as long as Liverpool and Arsenal have Benitez and Wenger as their managers there is barely any chance of Spurs overhauling them in the premisership even for just one flukey season. Spurs had their chance last year and blew it. Anyone who has watched any of the Arsenal Spurs games this season will have seas onthat Arsenal's very young players are far far superior to any combination of players that Spurs can put out. So as long as Benitez and Wenger are around there is no chance of this happening. More likely is that Sprus best asset, Jol, will be gone before either of their rivals lose their manager.

Arsenal's best position for the next 40 years will be 4th...which is this season....disintegrating clubs!!! serve them right. chelsea will never win CL...no matter how much millions they will spend. two years from now, Liverpool will be represented by the Spanish National Team, while Arsenal by a mixture of French 2nd eleven & a combination of player from Ivory Cost and other french speaking ex-France colonies in west Africa.

Rafael Benitez is a decent manager but in the Martin O' Neil mould and nothing special!! What a load of Shite!, SHITE I Say!!,hes one of the best managers in the World thats why Madrid want him, and to mention him in the same line as martin o'neill is a joke. once i read that, that was enough for me. Who is the author of this anyway?? i advise he starts checking out statistics and start watching football, and by the way Spurs are better staying in the UEFA cup thats their limit!! How much has Martin Jol spent!!! and what has he achieved?? NOTHING PS This was brought to you by a real football fan.
by Colin on April 26, 2007
Absolute rubbish. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are better now and for the forseeable future then Spurs look like being. Benitez has brought in loads of youngsters in the past few seasons and Arsenal have been doing this for years!
by Farset on April 26, 2007
You've dissected the top 4 teams but have offered no valid reason why Spurs should break this "cartel". This guy is adding 2 2 and getting 100. Talk about grasping at non-existent straws. Good grief.

With the additional TV money now coming into the Premiership, Arsenal will have either (a) plenty of money to spend on players while paying for the stadium in the agreed manner, or (b) plenty of money to pay for the stadium early, while maintaining the status quo.

Carrick with the goal at his mercy v Arsenal at Highbury, an open goal at that, he slips and the chance goes begging. Wind back 12 months, and assume he scores. result..Carrick stays, Spurs qualify for CL, Arsenal dont..that's how close, so before you start discounting things, think!..yes I know it's a 'What if senario', but my point is that Spurs came from nowhere last season, and by and large have progressed this season as well.So you laugh, sneer, and continue to put your heads in the sand,,but perhaps you'll be laughing on the other side of your faces twelve months from now?
by Wingston75 on April 26, 2007
what a load of rubbish... please, it's so painfully obvious that thhis is a piss poor piece of propoganda designed to makme the tiny tottsfeel that they're not as inferior to the arse as they blatantly are. I thought the spuds had overtaken us last year. they did not. They played above themselves. Then apparenbtly they were doing it again this year. But we have just witnessed the annual passing of St. Totteringham's Day, and still you show no signs of breakign into the top four, even your manager admits you are miles off. So stop already with the blarney, you know only too well you've a loooooong way to go before you could ever get there. »»Arsene Knows««

I'm a Spurs Season ticket holder and this article is an embarrassment. Arsenal go the way of Leeds? behave! Benitez nothing special? The man is arguably the best in the business... Just look at the man's honour list... all with "average" teams. We are so far behind Liverpool and Arsenal is unbelievable, and the gap is widening if anything.
