"it certainly wasn’t conclusive that Arbeloa meant to handle the ball." what??? it doesn't matter whether he meant to handle the ball or not. he missed his kick but managed to get out the situation by punching the ball away. it's a handball. i can';t think of many situations where defenders genuinely mean to handle the ball but they all get given. the notion of 'intent' is ridiculous when it comes to deciding these. if someone slices a cross and it goes in should the goal be disallowed because they didn't mean it? no, of course not. a goal's a goal and a handball is a handball

Your anti-Chelsea tirades are becoming boring now. I guess 'balanced' to you would be a chip on both shoulders.

Intriguing. Is Donna Gee correct? It would seem that way...he does seem to be getting more and more ridiculous and further removed from planet earth every time he opens his mouth. However, is he the one who is sniggering afterwards knowing how the whole country are getting suckered in by his "truths"?? Is he actually bluffing us all? Either way, Roman seems to be tiring of it and i know i'd be a tad embarrassed if i were a chelsea fan.

Charles, to clear up the dispute over whether Arbeloa ‘meant’ to handle the ball,.FIFA’s Laws of the Game 2005, Law 12, says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)". The question is whether his action was deliberate, which I’m not sure it was. However, former Premier League referee David Elleray says the referee's interpretation on deliberate action depends on whether the hand or arm is in an "unnatural" position at the point of contact. And in Arbeloa’s case, it was. Either way, it was definitely not a penalty!

plz for god sake stop criticizing chelsea. they r currently the most successful club in the world. 2 league titles. 2 carling cups. 2 champions league semi finals. and hopefully a FA cup this season. what more do u do u want? and still chelsea is not the biggest club in the world. man u and real madrid are. look what they have achieved in last 2 years. nothing . absolutely nothing. does MAN U have money ? i say yes they do. does real madrid have money? i say lots and lots of them. but does money bring them the trophie? the answer is a big no. chelsea have the best coach in the world. no one better than jose. to come in english league and win 4 trophies in 3 seasons while competing with bthe likes of sir alex and wenger is nothing but special itself.
