It looks as though Ronaldinho probably won't be on his way to Milan. He and Barcelona have both confirmed up coming contract talks and Milan seem focused on other players. But it Samuel Eto'o reportedly still hasn't yet reconciled with Ronaldinho or Barca's coach, Frank Rijkaard. So it could be Eto'o out the door.

Gianluigi Buffon hasn't yet committed to a contract with Juventus, either, and continues to remind us all that he misses the Champions League. David Trezeguet also remains uncertain about his future - and Gianluca Zambrotta is rumoured to be on his way back to Italy with Milan as his preferred destination.

So, this is my idea of how some of the transfer activity will play out in the summer. Milan will trade Cristian Abbiati and Alberto Gilardino, plus around £10m, for Buffon and Trezeguet. They will also sell Nelson Dida to either a Spanish or Brazilian club, for £4m.

Milan will buy Zambrotta from Barcelona for the same price that the Spanish side paid to Juve less than a year ago. They will also buy Eto'o for £25m. A retiring Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Cosacurta will force Milan to buy a new centre-back. Milan will lure Andrea Barzagli from Palermo with the promise of first-team action in the Champions League and a healthy pay increase.

So Milan's line-up, in favoured 4-4-2, could be: Buffon; Massimo Oddo, Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Barzagli, Zambrotta; Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf, Kaka; Ronaldo, Eto'o.

After about a £40 million transfer splash. I'm going to bed to continue dreaming . . .

Is he dreaming, or can you see AC Milan lining up like this? We want to hear from you at Sportingo.
