It's undisputed now that the accolade of being Europe's number one team over the past six years rightfully belongs to Milan. With a formidable display of patience, technique, technicalities and precision, the Rossoneri undertook the task to remind Manchester United what European football was about. They did it with a superb display of football to advance to the semis - and reaped the benefits of being in the last eight for six years.
Gennaro Gattuso vs. Paul Scholes: The 'Beast' proved once again why he is hailed as one of the greatest and it was his injury in the first leg led to United's comeback. This time around he showed the world why he deserved to be in Italy's World Cup winning squad.
Kaka v Cristiano Ronaldo: The Golden Boy once again blinded the United players with his pace, precision and skill, whereas his opposite number was held back by Gattuso. At the tender age of 25, the Brazilian is going to make a huge impact on the footballing world and looks the likely winnner of the Ballon D'or (FIFA World Player of the Year). He's had an amazing season.
Kaka is a product of Milan's long history of enticing and nurturing some of the greats in world soccer. From the days of Ruud Gullit, Marco Van Basten, George Weah, Frank Rijkaard, Andriy Schevchenko, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf and now the golden-boy Kaka, the Rossoneri are truly home to some of the greatest footballers of our time. And watch out for one of the next great players, Yoann Gourcuff.

Its to early to hail them this much. Certenly they did their best, but anyone who usually looks at manure knows that the display we saw, was far away from manures best. And its funny to see how people seem to forget that Milan almost got beaten by Celtic earlier - and that Celtic during those 180 minutes was the rightful winner. Just so you don't accidentally mix me up with a manure-fan: I was holding my thumbs for Milan during the game! :)

I find the fact that Kaka's recent run on form makes him the best player in the world, he is decisive and can score against the best {bayern munich and MANCHESTER UNITED} and even the not best sides in the serie a. He is top goal scorer in the champions league with 10 goals and has scored 8 in the league. Also when fans of the game claim that AC Milan is a '1 man team' well if it is he must trully be a excellent 1 man player to reach the final of the champions league and lay waste to Man u and the so told best player in the world Ronaldo.

Yes, Kaka truly deserve the Ballon D'Or - but the author here is wrong, Ballon D'Or is (obvious) not the FIFA World Player of the Year - in everyday language: European Player of the Year!

Manchester united are clearly going to win the premiership
by John on May 06, 2007
When you look at Milan and you hear about the players, it is not very often that they are talked about. Especially living in London the English press place great emphasis on the premiership players like Ronaldo, Lampard and Gerrard. I am glad now that the English fans are able to see what players like Kaka, Gattuso and Seedorf have to offer and any of those names are more of a complete player than those mentioned in the English press. I am sad to read in Gerrard's book that he does not even rate Kaka and believes that the only thing our golden boy has is passion. Now how can you say only passion can make you a great player. What I have seen from Kaka do in International, League and Championship football is more skill plus his passion. He is able to pass the ball with great precision, score with both feet and dribble the ball with excellent control. Now passion will not enable you to do that so Gerrard should really think about what he writes. If we go with what Gerrard believes in then we can say mos
