It pains a lot to be writing this but after the Gunners' display against Chelsea I am convinced that there is a lot of catching up to do. We should be scoring more but we tend to lose concentration and get punished. According to Arsene Wenger it is all due to youth and inexperience but the experienced players are equally at fault. We just do not seem to have the hunger which drives Chelsea. Why do we tend to take it easy after scoring a goal? Why do we get punished for lapses of concentration from our senior players?
The midfield looks creative but I can't see Aleksandr Hleb scoring a lot of goals. Cesc Fabregas controls the game well but he needs to start scoring more.Everyone would agree with the fact that we lack a genuine goal scorer when Thierry Henry is out injured or indeed off form. Theo Walcott is young and needs to be given time to mature and not thrown in at the deep end, Julio Baptista is simply not up to it, Emmanuel Adebayor is hard-working but wasteful in front of goal. Wenger needs to get strikers to shoot more when in front of the goal.

We do have a goal scorer in RVP.. but a another one will be needed, you need at least 4 to get through the season.. Henry, RVP, Abedayor and someone else (not baptista or aliadre )

I genuinely don't think Sunday's abysmal performance should necessarily be taken as a benchmark of the Gunners' progress this season. Yes we were playing our arch rivals but, other than pride, little else was at stake for us - as opposed to the Chavs who were driven by a frantic desperation to retain their title. At this level, anything other than complete 100% committment will result in failure. But, although I don't normally subscribe to the views of the chronic doommongers it is clear that Wenger will have to do more than merely tweak the squad in the post season. Until we find a solution to our woeful lack of width (remember the great Cole-Pires tandem on the left/Freddie-Lauren on the right) our problems will intensify. Hleb is simply not a winger, each time he receives the ball he cuts inside and often competes with Cesc for the same space in midfield. The same applies to Rosicky, another natural (and effective) central midfielder. And, of course, we need more quality fire power up front. Unless we are

I believe we should strengthen the team for next season,we miss Dennis Bergkamp alot, lets get a poacher in the box, probably Eto'o to help Thierry henry, then get a left winger like Frank Riberry and a Goalkeeper like Afeenkiv of CSKA Moscow

you really don't know what you are talking about. Senderos and Toure are better than Toure and Gallas? Look at the figures firstly, then look at Senderos running like a headless moronic chicken whenever a ball comes toward him. We need a winger who gets down to the byline, and we need Thierry Henry and RVP back. Maybe add in a natural finisher, in the Anelka mould, and our team is fine. Panic writing is ridiculous.

What you need ahead of the requested strikers is a better goalkeeper. You will have no hope unless you acquire a better keeper.

Arsenal's arse is smacked over and over until its sore and so pull up your pants...sit in the spectator's box and clap for Liverpool!

Yes above article seems to have a point, we need to bring a new experinced super defender in like Woodgate(Although he is impossible) or any of that quality who can handle set peices quite comfortably, next is with our mid field, they seems to hold the ball pretty nice but what they really lack is the scoring ability, none of our so called creative midfielders scores, this is an area where wenger has got to look up, Strikers are good, no need to bring new players with Fully fit and inform henry returning, Van persie, walcott etc all are capable of scoring with adebayor & bendtner as back up strikers.

The team selection was more a problem than an individual player. I'm among those who have always advise the coatch to go always for his first best '11' on the day, then play his youngsters in the last 15 or 20 minutes if he wants to. On the day, in my opinion, our best '11' to play Chelsea should have been: Lehman. Eboue-Kolo-Gallas-Clichy. Gilberto. Hleb- Fabregas- Rosicky or (Denilson, Aliadiere). Diaby. Adebayor. 4-1-3-1-1 or 4-5-1. Diaby playing just behind Adebayor. But AW went for 4-4-2, because he was still hoping that Baptista will prove the majorite of the supporters wrong. I really find this strange that a world class coatch of AW has still not mad up his mind on the man! As AW wanted to include Baptista at any cost and knowing that his inclusion means lost of balls; he had to compensate with two holding midfielders (Gilberto and Denilson). As a consequence, we lost in creativity, as Hleb was left on the bench, Rosicky is probably istill

signing E'to would be great, but if we cant do that,I suggest giving Walcott a run at centre forward, he is quick and he can shoot.

When Arsenal was at their peak with their class of pires, vieira, ljungberg(when he still had hair with a red stripe) bergkamp and henry, these players all scored at least 10 a season with all but two of them passing the 15 mark. this class has players who have the potential to do the same namely henry(25-plus)van persie(20-plus) fabregas(15) rosicky(15) hleb(10).

If we see this season's result which makes all supporters of arsenal angry. However, one can learn from it's mistake so,for the coming season do your best in making some arrengements but, I don't advise the club manager to let Henery to go.Rather by for him Samuel Eto and let them march together you will see it's result. Look how Eto & Ronaldinho are effective for the last two years repeat the same thing what was happend for the last two years in Varselona. Also Reberi is a man for arsenal too.

Why oh why, did Arsene sell Pires? When he was at Arsenal, he was providing a tally of average 15 goals a season which no recent Arsenal midfielder has beaten, and also provided the width for Henry, as well as make runs and assists for the Arsenal talisman all these years. Henry topped the goalscoring sheet many times with Pires around. Now he has been sold, and fancy footballers have been brought, but no goals and no trophies are nothing but a disappointment for the club and fans. When Pires played, we went to the Champions League final, beating of the likes of Madrid and Juventus, but now we bow down to teams like Man. City? We need to buy Pires's successor and that is Ribery.

A week to go before the Premiership kick-off and I only hope that Arsenal can put their act together especially against the so called 'smaller' teams as this is where they loose most points - the likes of Sunderland! If they do, I'm likely to defect to them from Bercelona. Best of luck to them.
