no way is robbie keane going to villa, after scoring 21 goals this season, i don't think spurs would let him go.
by JustASpur on May 10, 2007
21 goals so far and part of a deadly duo with Count Berbie. Keano's going nowhere!
by Matt on May 10, 2007
Don't be so silly. You can have Mido if you want.
by chris on May 10, 2007
You say this is backed up by the press - which papers are these? Spurs have 3 first team strikers, together with 60ish goals between them. They will be in Europe for a second season running. I can see why M O'N wold want him, like many other teams. Cant for the like of me see why Keane would want to go, or Spurs want to sell. Back up your statements with proper - not lazy - reporting.

In the closing stages of his best ever season, in light of him having found THE perfect partner in the shape of Berba, and tempered by the knowledge that Keano has truly settled at Spurs, unlike at his previous clubs (he's been here years and has shown no reason why he'd leave), he's going nowhere. I'd lay money on it, actually. I doubt the board or BMJ would want rid of him, either.

I seriously doubt that Spurs would even consider selling Keane given that there will be uncertainty around Berbatov all through the transfer window (hey I love the bloke but if the Chavs offer £40m then would the board turn it down?) My opinion is that if anyone is to leave it will be Mido first (please City bid!) and possibly Defoe - if the right bid comes in and we are looking for a replacement. The other thing to note is that Villa are not likely to get into Europe unless they win the fair play lottery so what benefit would it be for him to go from a club in Europe to one that is not - before the howls of protest start from the Vile fans please note that I know you're going to be the 'best team ever in the world' next year but that has yet to be seen.

What a load of b***ocks

Answer: No. And Sidwell? Answer: No. Got a chance with the others, mind.

Keane from Spurs to Aston Villa?....It is just like Micheal Schumacher quits Ferari to join...hmmm....Arrow team?...Why on earth Keane will do that!!!!!
by David on May 10, 2007
Why would Spurs sell a 20 goal striker? They do not need the money and the fans love him and he is happy and their top wagec earner!! Makes no sense, and I am not belittling AV--a great historical club that believes in quality football.

You would have to be a ignorant fool to think that Robbie keane is leaving WHL. he has been linked away from spurs for a few seasons now. and this never happens. most likely is defoe leaving, even then i think this is not going to happen as spurs will be changing their regular line up's for next season, With the league, 2x cups, and europe in hand, spurs will be having two teams, one for the league and one for cups, using a mixture in europe. This is pretty much already been said so by JOl earlier in the season when spurs were knocked out of the cups

Spurs aren't going to sell Keane.
by Gally on May 10, 2007
Dream on Villans, the much travelled Keano has found his spiritual home. No way will he leave anytime soon. You can have mido if you like. The only big name transfers that spurs will be involved in this year will be entrances not exits. The future is lillywhite, not Claret, although i do wish you luck and i hope Oneil makes you into a better side as you do tend to have decent supporters up there.

avfc O' yes Robbie is on his way, after all every profesional wants to leave a club heading for Europe and join mid table mediocrity!!
by Robbie Keane on May 10, 2007

by Howie on May 10, 2007
best joke i have heard all year lol
by shaggarty on May 10, 2007
Out - Mido, Murphy, Stalteri, Gardner. In - Bale, Kaboul, Dyer and Boateng
by Chris on May 10, 2007
Why would the vice captain of Spurs who are going to UEFA want to quit an up and coming force for a team 12/13 in Premiership? Stupid article
by Essexian76 on May 10, 2007
Now if we are talking about a swap deal involving Barry for lets say Defoe or Mido, then perhaps!, but Jol loves Keane,,he's picked every time over JD,Persoanally I would prefer Defoe than Keane but I know I'm in the minority, and the goals speak for themseves.Good to see Villa on the up though, only need the fans to give better support than they did under O'Dreary

Dream on aston villa
by roy on May 10, 2007
So Berbatov may well join Man Utd?? His agent, jol and the spurs Chairman have all stated he is HAPPY. Even an idiot should understand if his agent says he will not be moving. Comment like this shows not only a lack of respect but a desperation to show how knowledgeable you are. Get a reality check pse.
by troygrenfield on May 10, 2007
i think you should sign Claude Makelele,Robbie Keane,Shaun Wright-Phillips and Steve Sidwell and Nigel Reo-Coker
by chris b on May 10, 2007
As a Villa fan there is no way i can see spurs would let him go or why he should leave, but there is no doubt Villa are on the up and up. Spuds? why so defensive? and why would you want to sign Boateng !lol
by troy greenfield on May 10, 2007
