How many awards can one player receive in a single season? Well, if 10 sounds an unbelievable haul for a single superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has done even better than that. After receiving another two awards at Manchester United's end-of-season awards dinner on May 14, the brilliant No.7 has an astonishing 13 personal awards to show for his fantastic season.

At the beginning of the campaign, everyone knew Ronaldo would enter the Premiership a changed man after the World Cup in Germany. What no one seemed to be expecting was such a change to his game. He was good when United picked him up from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 - it appeared everyone was aware of that. But clearly his talent has progressed dramatically with his years in Manchester. However, what wasn't even dreamt of at the start of the current season was that summer 2006 would have had such an impact on the 22-year-old, turning him into a man now being widely touted as the world's best player.

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro moved to Lisbon at the age of 12 to attend Sporting CP's prestigious football school. He never lacked talent and this season it has earned the Portuguese superstar those 13 personal awards, one Premiership title, a possible FA Cup win, and status as the highest-paid player in United history.

What's left for him to achieve? Perhaps the title of World's Best Player next autumn. Hailed by team-mates as well as United's opponents,  if he continues playing the way he has been, he's pretty much a shoe-in for the title of 2007 World Player of the Year.

Ronaldo picked up his first award in October, winning PFA Fans' Player of the Month, an accolade he scooped again in February. Next on the list was Barclays Player of the Month, which he won in both November and December. As if monthly awards weren't enough to satisfy the Portuguese international, the awards that followed were sure to bring a smile to his face. He was about to pick up a PFA quadruple, receiving Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Fans' Player of the year, as well as joining Manchester United team-mates in the Premiership Team of the Year.

To top those off, Ron also went and picked up the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year, Barclays Player of the Season, Portuguese Footballer of the Year and most recently at United's dinner ceremony, Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year. And Players' Player of the Year as well.

So is 13 the full measure of  Ronaldo's awards for the season? Not quite yet. He could still be named UEFA's Fans' Player of the Season alongside his Portuguese teammate Deco for their Champions League performances.

If the awards don't speak for themselves, I'm certain Ronaldo's record will. The Manchester United star is no longer just a box of tricks. He is now a box of tricks and a top United player. Undoubtedly having the best season of his career, with a total of 49 appearances, 23 goals and 20 assists, Ron is one of the Red Devils' top goalscorers - tied with Wayne Rooney - and a general asset to the team.

All that’s missing, or at least all that is left to be attained by Ronaldo, is the FA Cup. Manchester United and Chelsea compete in the final, and only one club can take the crown. Can United complete the League and Cup double and paint the new Wembley Stadium red this coming Saturday?

Certainly Ronaldo will be hoping to add yet another title to his own massive collection.
