I agree with everything there. Except the last bit. About you can not see Liverpool winning. Why the hell not? In 2005 they beat Juventus Chelsea Milan. 2007 Barcelona Chelsea & it WILL be Milan again. I dont know what your on pal. If you dont even give them a chance. pff

Oh my god you sound like a very happy individual, why don't you do us all a favor and end it all.
by Dave on May 20, 2007
You mean the same Milan that struggled to beat Celtic 1-0 in over 4 hours of football. Get real u stupid boy.
by Steve Bott is stupid on May 20, 2007
what a load of crap..in 2005 they beat juve chelsea and milan...this year they already beat 2 favourite in the competition..you must be really really really stupid to say liverpool will have no chance to beat milan again this year..get a life!!!

Well the only think right in this pile of editorial dross is the cup final. Liverpool will provide excellent opposition to milan, they are a good side but no matter how many goals milan score they wont feel safe, they will defend deep and Rafa knows this, combine this with the milan boys talking about revenge all the time and you provide a team that have thier minds elsewhere. there wont be a 3-3 game this year but Liverpool will shade it 2-1. Get some fresh air

liverpool only have a chance if they play their usual game. 10 men behind the ball to play for penalties, then have their keeper off his line by 10 metres. liverpool under rafa can only win things on penalties.

Spoken by a fool who barely ever watches Milan. Watch them in the league this season and realise they are far from phenomenal in every game. What you have written is embarrassing and just depreciative of the English game, for reasons it is difficult to judge. Clearly you have your own reason for bashing English football based on one poor FA Cup final, but hey, keep on keepin' on.

Liverpool, yet again, have given up on winning their own league so that they had a chance at the European Cup. Last season, when they were knocked out of Europe early, they enjoyed their best year in the league for years. I don't see where any pride can be gained in watching a team who should be challenging for the title, gutlessly bowing out for a chance of European glory. Liverpool are a good cup team, and have done well in this years Champions League... but Milan look too strong for them. Without penalties, I can't see how Liverpool are going to outscore Milan.

Liverpool under Benitez are better than they are given credit for. The match yesterday was abismal. You can beat Chelsea by playing the game- look how Liverpool beat them in the CL semi final. We would have beaten them outright if the dick of a linesman didn't flag Kuyt offside when it was clear as day that he was. As for the CL final, Liverpool can beat Milan. Put Sissoko or Mascherano on Kaka and keep Pirlo quiet we'll be laughing. Liverpool should stretch Milan with Pennant and Kewell. As for not being fired up Liverpool will be fired up more than anyone.

of naiveity here in my opinion. Just how often do FA Cup finals provide end to end "entertaining" football? Too much at stake and nerves take their toll. One could also point out that this was a match between two sides who have played more games than any other PL side. Other teams only competing on one front (for example) gave up on the league in January and have regularly rested large numbers of players and played some league matches at almost testimonial pace. Wednesday night proabably will be more entertaining but when you play only 2/3 of the games of superior rivals it should be.

You obviously havent watched many Liverpool finals. There was 20 goals scored in just 3 of the finals Liverpool have played in the last 7 years. And that's before you start counting penalties. If you want to start talking 'boring' I'd start looking a bit closer to home if I were you. Congratulations in winning the 3rd/4th place play-off by the way.

Like all Liverpool fans, I'm enjoying everyone writing Liverpool off YET AGAIN. Earlier in the KO stages, the favoutites and current Champs were Barcelona. We were to be out, dead and buried. What Hapened? Do you remember? Liverpool went to Barcelona and won. The club that inherited their 'favourites' tag was....Chelsea. Cue semi final, and what happened then? So here we are with 'no chance' again in the final. I just remember that apart from that tragic day at Heysal, where the team didn't want to play, we've won every European Cup / CL Final we have competed in. I hope you'll post back on here after Wednesday wen Liverpool take home Number 6.
Listen soft lad. Switch on your Telly on Wenesday, and get educated on how to win in Europe s Liverpool make it #6. I am guessing you are a Chelsea Chav. Mate: it'll all end in tears with Maureen. Terry is headed elsewhere. Tears I tell you. What then?
K: I suppose you prefer the excitement of yesterday's wonderful FA Cup final, as opposed to 6-goal games decided on Pens. Never mind, eh. You keep watching what you want, and Liverpool fans will continue to dominate Europe.

win on pens than never win at all,who remembers the losers ?

You may have been a Jounalist for 34 years as all bitter twisted Man Utd supporters you just carnt hide the fact that we are a more successful as the mighty Reds from LIVERPOOL and will finsh of the job that you coundnt do by beating The mighty AC Milan in Athens and I will be there with about 50,000 scousers cheering on the MIGHTY REDS TO THERE 6th EUROPEAN CUP Success.Beat that if you can!.I am sure it will be a great game for the watching TV supporters all over the world.I know the AC team and Fans are saying they want revenge. 1 thing for sure is that we are a better team now than in 2005 and AC are not as good as 2005.So like all true football fans put your England cap on and cheer the reds to victory.
i did'nt say i enjoyed yesterdays game. and you're right 6 goal games with penalties is exciting but it just shows that you can't defend, and that you have to beat an opponent on penalties to win things. how many european cups hvae you guys won on penalties? 3! the fact is utd and chelsea have a good defense which cancels each other out, liverpool in the fa cup final last yr and in istanbul could not defend, but credit for coming back the way you did. i think you would get more credit if you just simply beat teams in 90 mins.
by Dougie on May 20, 2007
Firstly brian jones, just because there are goals scored in a game doesn't mean the teams can't defend. Liverpool have one of the best defensive records in the premiership. Secondly how can you write off liverpool's chances so casually. We beat Barca, we beat Chelski, what more have you got to do to prove a teams worth? Man U got beat in the second leg cos they played like muppets, like they always seem to do after the group stages of the cl. We've proven we can beat any club team in the world, including AC, and we are gonna do it on wednesday too.
by Suleman Jasat on May 20, 2007
I utterly disagree with your dross. Whats so mighty about Milan just because they thrashed and outplayed united. Maldini is 38 does he have the legs to contain bellamy/gerrard/kuyt don think so. The only player liverpool has to fear is kaka and masherano will be there to take care of him. Liverpool are wining it and if they do dont even bother writing any articles you can go back to your cave and think hard how on eath did liverpool win again. Whata complete garbage you have wrote about liverpool
by LFC all my life on May 20, 2007
Yeh keep on writing us off, its getting stupid now.. the media want us to lose.. deep down they know Liverpool have a better chance than any other English team when it comes to Europe
by tan sri on May 21, 2007
Boring boring Liverpool ? Yeah, everyone seems to hate us now. We played boring football...blah blah. The fact is they're afraid to play us. Milan will find out real soon for not respecting us. Ok, we are boring but at the end of the day,no one can deny uslifting the cup again.
