FORZA MILAN

yes, you are right, no luck, but Liverpool played a full 90 minutes with passion and commitment. and both teams went for it, unlike the rubbish served up at wembley.

You could see the pressure from Liverpool players showing, probably worried about their houses being broken into while they were away!

Xabi did it again. He is always conceding stupid fouls when its totally unneccesary. It was absolutely vital that we should of gone at half time nil nil. I couldn't understand why we didn't play the same team that we played against chelsea. Gerrard & Mascherano were awesome. Benitez is too negative and deserves this defeat. How many times this season did Gerrard play this position which he played today? I cant believe Alonso is preferred to Gerrard in the middle this is absolutely ludicuros.

Firstly, congrats to Milan. Great team, great players and great sportsmen. I'm so proud of the lads tonight, they played excellently in the first half. We weren't as good in the second half but hey, we were looking for a goal to get us back into the game. No bad feelings about luck, or Xabi's tackle, or Dagger playing Milan onside or any of the other mistakes made on the night. We gave it everything, it wasn't to be and life goes on. And I'm proud to be an LFC fan after their performance in the stadium tonight. We'll be back next year! YNWA

Discipline in defense and precision in executing key plays to deliver results. Similar characteristics were shown by the Italian National team to win world cup.
Milans first goal was produced by a set play meant to be rederected by Inzachi, on second goal Inzachi showed good skill to score from a fifficult angle. Speaking of luck, Liverpool only goal went of the head of Maldini first to Liverpool player. Liverpool lost because of lack of precision in finishing their plays. Cheers

I can't stand Liverpool and wanted them to lose, but from a sporting point of view I thought they were clearly the better side. As for Inzaghi's first goal -- surely that was handball? If United had met Milan on a night like this we would have really punished them. It was a clear case of sterile negative Italian football. I hate to admit it but my heart goes out to the Scousers on this one.

Milan had more discipline, and they had Kaka, and it exhausted Liverpool. Goal or no goal at the end of the first half, Milan showed more stamina and Kaka and Flippo maintained their speed better in the second half. Perhaps, leading 1-0, Milan would not have sat back to let the Kuyt goal situation materialize. Liverpool squandered a lot of shots and opportunities. Where have I heard that before? I guess at least we had the consolation of not seeing them play the beautiful game, as we do with that other "many opps, few goals" team from down London way. No knock on the Pool, but if they can't get Stevie 5 good long range shots a game, what is their game plan? Kudos to Pennant & Mascherano, and anyone who thinks Xabi didn't have to foul Kaka at the edge of the box as he did really does not understand what a superior threat he is.

US Open crunch: Roger Federer survives - now can Andy Murray finish off Rafael Nadal?
Toulouse, Stade Francais or maybe Dan Carter's Perpignan - who's hot for French rugby's Top 14?
Andorra a doddle, Croatia the BIG test - but are England up to it without Newcastle's Owen?
