a ground share with Tottenham is very very funny. 1 they wouldn't be able to fill the place, it would sound empty! And 2 the football they play would not live up to what the emirates currently sees.... muppets, spurs? big club my arse!

No Way Im Not Sharing My Ground With Those Mugs Its Bad Enough There Down The Road But To Share A Ground With Them No Way!!!!
by GEORGE ANTHONY on June 16, 2007
why would we want to share with arsenal
by Darren on June 16, 2007
Only because Arsenal would get shown up as the sh!te fans they are! We would actually make a proper atmosphere for once at the Emirates! It would be well funny!

NO...WAY..spurs can play on the bloody streets

IT WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE PAYING THE UNDERINOCUPANCY FEE AS THEY CERTAINLY WOULDNT GET ENOUGH FANS IN TO FILL SUCH A BIG CLUBS STADIUM. THEY SHOULD CONSIDER TRAVELLING, MAYBE LUTON WOULD BE MORE SUFFICIENT
by James Lowes on June 16, 2007
Yeah I know some Arsenal fans would find it distasteful to have to share with Suprs for a couple of years. I know I would at the moment. However if you assume about 25 home games for Spurs in a season. 60,000 fans at £40 that would be a revenue of £120m split it 50:50 and we could pay off £60m of the stadium debt in two years. Not such a bad idea. Also imagine the feeling spurs fans will have knowing that they helped pay off our loan and that they will never manage to get a stadium that is nearly as good down the road.

Re: Darren Are you refering to the shit support Spurs fans provided both times they visited the Emirates when both games ended with over half your seats empty, shit team shit support.
by Arsenal Goon on June 16, 2007
It wouldn't happen because 1. Spurs are unlikely to be allowed to redevelop shite Fart Lane and 2. Arsenal will incur the wrath of the Arsenal fans

a. We already have an "income" and a sound financial plan. We turned over 100m in the last 6 months, ta very much. That's more than Spurs in a whole year! b. If Spurs have an average of 35,000 now and they muster up this mythical extra 25,000, where's that going to come from? The 20,000 on the waiting list who, of course, ALL want a season ticket still. Still short fellas. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest Spurs could fill a 60,000 stadium outside of games against the big four. I use that phrase advisedly as Chelsea aren't a big club. c. As your own Chairman has suggested, why should we have taken all the financial risks and heartache to build the thing only for you lot to come in and put your feet up? d. You're filthy and would stink the place out. Not only that but the air of failure that hangs over a Tottenham from the last two decades could prove a distraction to a proper club.

Arsenal played at White Hart Lane during WW2 as Highbury was used as an ARP station. Once the war finished, Arsenal returned to Highbury. Arsenal did not play at WHL due to bomb damage of Highbury. Tottenham played a handful of gams during WW1 at Highbury. I'm not exactly sure why but it certainly wouldn't have been due to bomb damage. It won't happen at the Emirates as planning permission was granted on only Arsenal home games, a small number of non-Arsenal games and a small number of non-football events being hosted. Islington Council wouldn't allow the extra games (although Tottenham could be considered non-footballing events). Arsenal's pitch is the best and has been the best. Playing an extra 20 games a season on it would ruin it. Wenger would not want his team to play on a cattle field every other week. I doubt that the Arsenal board would want the moron fans at the stadium every other week when you consider the damage they cause with each yearly visit. Also, how would the Tottenham tea
James - 60,000 fans? Where are they going to get them from? The away supporters?
Spurs matches = "non-footballing event". :aplause:
spurs got the best groundsman award or something like that... (roll on cheap digs about the only silverware we'll win blah blah blah) but anyway, i reckons thats us with the best pitch goonerak???? isnt it??? all other points well made tho, and with minimal cheap shots fired. nice one.

u are cool
by JP on June 16, 2007
We are only allowed to hold 6 non AFC matches a year and those go to lucrative internationals etc, why would we do the scum a favour anyway? Non starter.
by MuppetGoons on June 16, 2007
You talk about sharing with us as if we should be greateful. Think your forgetting something you South London Muggs - we wer'e and STILL are the only team in North London. Got to hand it to you tho, it's some achievement to make that spanking new ground sound and feel like a real library AGAIN!!! Yeah-let us come and use your souless excuse for a ground and we'll smash the shite hole up like we did at Library no1. Ha Ha Ha...
so then..."the gunners" what is it that spurs dont DEVERSE? would it be ill thought out comments from scummy goons that never went to school and cant spell? i agree. (tit)
Funny that, I thought it was fairly loud for each of the six goals we stuck past Fatty this year.

So people think sharing the emirates with the arse while the lane is developed - FORGET IT - NEVER. The only place for SPurs tempory home is Wembley
by Wingston75 on June 16, 2007
No chance! Let them play matches there, and their fans woudl be parking their caravans on the pitch, and there's be stray dogs everywhere, people trying to sell you heather on matchdays, and clothes pegs. Surely spurs can groundshare with a club who's size and expectation more closely match their own, say like Leyton Orient? »»Arsene Knows««

This situation would suit Spurs but what do Arsenal gain from this? Presumably Spurs will want to keep all the gate receipts and TV money whenever they play at our place, so how will we benefit? Spurs fans are really delusional if they think this is happening
...particularly when your post would probably get a 'see me' from teacher on it.
