As questioned by Soza Sose re Chelsea's needs. I think Soza has hit it on the head in the main. The four signed players although free are quality but not as Top Draw as some players they could have signed. Haim and Sidwell have played well with other teams in the Premiership so should be no problems with them. Alex Chelsea have owned for 3 years and waited for Visa to play in the U.K. Remember what he did to Arsenal in last years Champions League. He is a very good player and will take little time to get used to Premiership style. For me the only player they need is a Deco or type. To open up other teams defences for the strikers and attacking midfielders. I feel quite confient they will go very close to winning the premiership again. Man U though seem to have bought very well and in Anderson have a player of world class.

For me there is only perhaps Drogba and Lord Percy who may find it difficult to play at the same level as than last year. Virtually everyone else will/must improve on their performances. (I exclude Essien because the man is a marvel who I believe is quite capable of continuing to perform at the very highest level). As long as multiple injuries don’t take out all the players and cover in any specific position then there are very few ways to improve the squad without spending squillions on a gamble. Will Giggs, Scholes and Ronaldo each perform as well next year? As Jose said put in the new wonderboy, who drops out? Will it improve on last year? There is as much scope for United’s performance to dip as there is for Chelsea’s to improve.

The buys that chelsea have already secured are all excellent cover players and will strenghten the squad in all the requiured areas. Last Season saw a number of crucial injuries which cost us the title, i.e JT out for so long. I believe that Sheva will come good this season as seen previously some top class players take a year to setting in the premiership (Drogba for instance). The current squad is a match for anyone in europe.

Chelsea brought big last year and 'failed'. This year they are backing up their world class squad with players who can do a job if/when the injuries hit again. All three / four signings have been excellent and will add the depth they lacked last year. Utd have spent big but I view their new siginings as players for the future rather than now.

Chemistry is a prerequisite for sport as a whole. Time and time again we have seen the likes of all-star teams crash and burn under the weight of a team of friends. Beyond the need for chemistry in Chelsea, I also see the possibility of a large scale shake-up come next year. If the desired performances of Sheva and Ballack don't come to fruition then big names will leave only to be replaced by big or possibly bigger names. Though the Russian has promised unending funds for the club, I do belive he has come to find (perhaps through his large signings) that good business is prudent business. In a nut shell chemistry is the missing link on this team. The spending will come, though most likely only out of disappointment and desperation. Seeing huge transfers will only be the begining of the end.

chelsea needs to buy valencia's right back and David Villa. They may not need Geremi, Boulahrouz and Makalele any more. They must however, bring Alex over and ensure they keep Robben.

I think Chelsea should sell Geremi, Makelele, Boulahrouz and Paulo Ferreira. Then the should keep Glen Johnson and buy Dani Alves
