16 million is rubbish...i think at least 20 million is value for Henry. And i also bet that Torres is heading to the Emirates (swap deal with Reyes). Add Babel to the mix...we may get the team rolling again.

Thanks for a great article please excuse my spelling im not english but im a gooner for life the only part that makes me wonder is that why AW is not commeting to the club beyond his contract in my humble opinion is that he will see if next year has any siver ware or not IF ITS NOT he is gone & this wil;l crush us because the next manager will not work with young talent as well as AW & will need more experiens so we are wasting our money and our players to buy young kids maby reallt good in five years but wich good playres would agree to come to a team that has no BIG names speciallt that its almost imposiblee for us to win any thing next year please tell me if you think im mistaking and why?

Since Le Gaffer has been with us many people assume that because there is nothing being said in the papers then he is not scheming behind the scenes, however we i have grown to have faith in who is clearly the greatest ever signing Arsenal have made, Arsene Wenger. We were in the same situation when Wenger sold Vieira, and many wondered whether or not Gilberto could fill his shoes and look at him now, Arsenal and Brazil captain and my player of the seasn last year. So yes i feel Wenger knows when it is time to cash in on the stars. If you look at the stars that were gunners and when they left what did they do? The answer is nothing, they withered away and i wouldnt want to see this happen to Henry as i feel he has been a fantastic servant to this club and every Arsenal fan should remember the way in which Henry left which by no means was in acrimonious circumstances like the little money grabber who moved to Chelsea. I believe 100% that Wenger would not have sold Henry unless he knew he could get a repla

It has been reported that there are add ons to the transfer which may mean the tota lis £20M. It also should be mentioned that under the new transfer laws Henry could have bought his contract out for circa £12m so £16m now with upto another £4m later is good financial business but whether it is in a football sense is another matter.

For Arsenal fans to hold on to?

Why not buy Frédéric "Fredi" Kanouté. He´s a great striker and his current club payed Spurs £4,4 millions for him. Get him from Sevilla Fútbol Club for about £ 10 millions would be great deal for Gunners. And a poke in the eye of all spurs-fans.

Wenger a a good manager ...but gosh is he overrated!! The genius was Henry. He carried us on his back for years..turning losses into draws and draws into wins for us. Wenger should show more imagination than returning to Anelka. Martins would do a better job. He has that pace, tenacity and hunger to score. Unfortunately...he will play in the african nations cup,...which leaves us bare for a mth. Owen I believe is damaged goods. forget him

i hear the board is trying to prevent the whole process i just request the broad to step aside if they want to make use of the new stadium bse we are not going to watch our young team losing day in day out i believe anelka has grown up and he know whats best for him but trust me if the broad screw up some one will up hate. so the board should be very careful bse arsenal flows like blood in some of our body when we loose one can even fail to eat a meal.

I dont understand anyone who doubts the mighty AW. His record speaks for itself- he doesnt BUY great players, he CREATES them. Everyone should just chill- the time to worry is if / when AW leaves, but i dont want to even think about that. Babel the next TH14? I'd like to see that.

Arsenal really need to compete for the major trophies next season. a 3rd place finish would be acceptable, and to do that we need to buy well in the transfer period. Anelka would be a good buy, but no more than 8 mil, Babel from Ajax at about 8 mil and extra midfield cover is required. Theo will get better, we have kept Freddie and Gilberto so the experience is still there, dont rule out Pires on a free either. a good mix of players and the right start to the season will do the job for me. Henry is a massive loss, however we have made some money. there could be a bright future for Arsenal.

This is the most brilliant article ive ever seen, i agree with everything mentioned in this article. Here in Adelaide, Australia everyone is worried sick that Wenger is on his way out at the end of his remaining contract and Henry decided to leave a year earlier to cover up the idea of 'i do what Wenger does'which brings the next point of 'Is Fabregas leaving if Wenger does?'. We all hope that he sticks by his contract of 8 years and grows up and learn to have passion for the Badge 'Arsenal'. last but not least, Henry is my idol, ive loved every minute of him since 1999 but after 226 brilliant goals, it was his time to leave and keep injury problems at the camp nou:) Hopefully Anelka returns to good old arsenal for one more spell, he is the perfect player to score from set pices, hold up the ball or ever hit it from outside the box. thats my personal view on the situation.

So Robbo (Yiddo) its looks grim ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,..... Thierry didnt play against you when we whipped your arse so please explain to me how it is looking grim? come on I'm dying to know. This is one of the better deals that Arsene has made. I'm sorry but it was time for Thierry to go. I do believe now that the kids will flourish without him looking over his shoulder at them.
by Eddie on June 25, 2007
Gonna miss him however you put it but I just hope Arsene brings a world class midfielder and world class striker in. No more young boys we need expirienced men!!
ohhh robbo you hunk , i'm really gonna miss thierry henry, i for one will miss his gallic good looks and will not fulfik my wish of bedding him, unlike i did with big sol.. any way tommy hudd ROCKS that sexy beast!!

by Imtiaz Wookay on June 25, 2007
Actually, although i was a little down when Henry left I must say that it has been a relief to know taht the constant speculation is over.....Him leaving may be a blessing in disguise and hopefully we will see Van Persie and Co. showing their worth...i just wish we had gotten at least 20 million quid for him....16 million is a little undervalued for the greatest player we have seen!

I'm sad when heard henry has gone to Baca because since when they re ve been saying he will go there or not. i just be looking and praying that he should not decide to go there due to Arsenal Great in this Forthcoming Season. But onething i belief is that,Is only God has no river when viera was going we was thinking Arsenal is going to fall but by the God full support and wenger's work. we still hoping and i belief with Henry leaving By God grace Arsenal will be moving Forward,Amen.

I sincerely hope Arsene has a plan. Otherwise we are just reacting to a bad situation, and with the state the board is in, who can guess what the transfer policy is? Henry going is bad enough but much as I love the guy and knowing how important he has been to the team, I can put up with it - no one is bigger than the club et. etc.. My big concerns are 1. No committment to stay from Arsene - this must have a serious negative impact on our ability to sign quality players and cause uncertainty throughout the club (remember David Dein saying there is no Plan B ?), 2.Some of the most important players seem more concerned with loyalty to Arsene than to Arsenal as aclub. If he goes does the team implode? 3.How shattered is the morale of the team with all the goings on and what will the impact be on results, 4. What is the lesser of the 2 evils a) a board that has run the club financially very well but has always seemed to lack ambition (stadium aside - and even that looks like it was really pushed by Arsene),

What with?, wheres the warchest you were promised before Henry was sold, why hasnt it been used?..Down down deeper and down, skint, brassic, potless, nil spondoolicks, zero dosh, kitty all gone.....No MOONEY....Busted, broke, borrowed mucho dosho, mucho dosho must be paid in interest innit?
