Dream on

How can you possiobly say that Gerrard is better than Keane was!?!?Typical scouse scum.Torres will flop, Voronin won't have a great impact at all. Babel is good though.
by Nick on July 14, 2007
"The arrival of the versatile Yossi Benayoun and Andrei Voronin gives Rafa Benitez an embarrassment of riches in team selection" Genius, are you the lovechild of Carla Lane and Jimmy Tarbuck?
by Barry on July 14, 2007
Gerrard may be as good as keane, but its his consistency that leaves him down. As i united fan i would have Gerrard in my team, but never over Keane! Typical pool fan dilusional as usual, take off those rose tinted glasses
by Joe on July 14, 2007
Interesting and true article. If Keane was so incredible how come he was not nominated or won the numerous PFA Player of the Year Awards England's Vice-Captain has? Who cares really, Keane hs retired and Gerrard is 26/27 ha. The Prem will be very interesting and Ronaldo will be strechtered off by December haa aha haa.
by Simon Breen on July 14, 2007
Who is this imposter who is supposedly better than Roy Keane could ever hope to be? Roy Keane is a true legend and one of the finest midfielders ever to grace a football field. Furthermore, Babel is unproven, Voronin is a pathetic footballer and Benayoun is overrated.

if gerrard is better than keane how is it that liverpool have never won the premiership
by p.j on July 14, 2007
yawn not again been hearing this for 18 years , you scousers are always full of it before every season starts but come down with the christmas decorations, the ammount benitez has spent since has been there should have won him the title at least once ,just goes to show his judgement has not always been great. as for yossi the great he was starring for a team that just stayed up ,embarrassment of riches lol
by g000ner on July 14, 2007
I am a gooner and I have to say what a load of rubbish. Gerrard isnt half the player Keane was. And as for the 'embarrassment of riches'.. take off the last 2 words and you are closer to the mark. You scousers really do have a sense of humour.
by IASH! on July 14, 2007
The arrival of the versatile Yossi Benayoun and Andrei Voronin gives Rafa Benitez an embarrassment of riches in team selection - and a realistic chance of the Premiership title. I really hope you don't actually believe that!
by FC on July 14, 2007
Lolz Keane hopes to be Gerrard....why?
by TB on July 14, 2007
This is one confusing read, I'm sure it says Benayoun's an embarrassment of riches and that Gerrard is twice the player Keane was. Am I living in a parallel universe? Or is this something to do with the many worlds interpretation to Quantum Mechanics?
It's neither, just the inane ramblings of the all to common delusional Liverpool fan.

Steve g is as good as Keano, scores more too. The mancs are going to be the team to beat this season, but we will be a lot closer. Laugh us off at your peril mancs. Tevez is your only world class signing....which is one more world class player than we have signed as yet...but we will score more than we have done since Rafa arrived..and remember we have the best selection of centre mids on the planet.
by Hans on July 14, 2007
RAFA IS A GENIUS. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN SO... THIS YEAR IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE 4 FIRST TEAM BUT IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE FOR LPOOL TO BRING BACK THE TITLE TO ANFIELD. WE JUST NEED TO BE CONSISTENT. THATS ALL.
by Jonny F on July 14, 2007
Oh my word, here we go again, same as every year, we have to put up with the same 'this is gonna be our year' clap-trap from the dippers. When Tevez arrives, Liverpool will have spent approx half the money United have, a team that finished an ashaming amount of points ahead of this 'so called rival'. Wake up scousers, you'll be out of running for the league by November, as you have been for the last 17 years. And Gerrard better than Keane? What at? Certainly not football, as Gerrad has admitted many times in the past, keane was at least 4 times the player Gerrad is. "An embarrassment of riches", no, just an embarrassment that you consider yourselves our rival, stick to baiting Everton boys, you have a chance of finishing above them.

hahaha ur a joke just wait til half way thru the season when ur out the prem race, out the champs league, out FA cup in 3rd round! u scouse scummers say this every year about winnin the league...DREAM ON! DREAM ONNNN! WITH HOPE IN UR HEART!! CUS UL NEVER WIN THE LEAGUE! UUULLL NEVEERR WIINNN TTHHEE LEEAGGUEE!
by X123X on July 14, 2007
roy keane legend? more like a hooligan... who goes around telling pple and taking pride in breaking pple's legs.. and ur so call legend shld probably thank luis garcia for breaking his damn ankle and end his vicious career at Anfield. so stop praising ur crap like a holy man.. dont give me that shit.
by Jeremy on July 14, 2007
like everyone has been saying, liverpool are mediocre at best and the inconsistent, goal shy torres will not make the difference. Benayoun couldnt make the west ham team most of last year and voronin is another B list player, while all babel has is pace. Man U are so much better and with these new signings will continue to dominate the prem for years to come
by Al on July 14, 2007
Gerrard is at least twice the player keano was. Keane has never even played in a champions league final. 2:0 to Gerrard.
by joe on July 14, 2007
benitez has just added more mediocre players to his squad. torres isnt in the league of etoo berbatov tevez or villa. babel is not proven so your article stinks.
Yep, and Gerrard hasn't won a league medal so 7-2 to Keane.
by The Reds on July 14, 2007
buying heinze has to be a ploy by rafa,
keane was so incredible its just that he was unpopular with everyone outside o.t unlike kiss ass gerrard who tries to be mr nice guy with a nasty other side. keano was keano love him or hate him like the scousers still a true legend
What about Souness and hansen, how come when a hard man plays for you dippers he's just a hard legend, but when a hard man plays for United, he's a thug. Double standards it's called, or bitterness. 17 years and counting
