Obafemi Martins has apparently rejected a £13m move to Arsenal from Newcastle (Daily Express), if this is so, then good on him for choosing to stay loyal to the Toon Army and Big Sam. However, I don’t buy it, not least because the story lacks any direct quotes or even a fictitious spokesman.

It just doesn’t seem likely that Arsenal would bid for the Magpies striker after having apparently forked out a similar sum for the Cro-Zilian Eduardo da Silva to go alongside RVP, Emmanuel Adebayor and Niklas Bendtner. (Put Bendtner in your Fantasy Football teams, he's bound to be dirt cheap and I think will figure prominently this coming season). Martins to be joining Arsenal NAY - though it's an even more resounding NAY that he would turn down such a move personally.

Chelsea apparently fear that Spurs could become a serious threat to their title aspirations, so much so that chief executive Peter Kenyon is loathe to let Shaun Wright-Phillips ply his trade at White Hart Lane (The Sun). Well, it seems that PK has been taking mind-game lessons from Jose Mourinho, who in turn is mimicking the magic of Sir Alex’s own brand of ‘stirring’.

Just whether or not Chelsea will let SWP leave is one thing, but if he does go, who would they rather let him join, Arsenal or Spurs? If Kenyon is really fearful of the emergence of Martin Jol’s side, then he would probably only let the nifty winger leave to join Yeovil. But seriously the biggest obstacle to a move away from Chelsea for Shaun is Chelsea themselves. They are very unlikely to let him join any club that may be deemed a threat to them, which leaves him in a very sticky situation indeed. Wright-Phillips to be allowed to join a top-six team - NAY

As a Chelsea fan i can say i am not scared of Spurs, they may be making ground but they are far behind the Blues. And before anyone says anything, i have been a Chelsea fan since 1974

For the record Danny Rose's agent is the same guy that also handles Tom Huddlestone and Aaron Lennon and is one of the nicer agents in the business (although that doesn't really say much). He's also a Spurs fan. Will that make a difference to Rose's final destination? We'll see.

Ac Milan can just take their "interest" in Tevez and put it where the sun doesn't shine! What could possibly make them think that if he is fighting this hard to join Manchester United he would just change track and go for Milan instead. It's not like West Ham are going to go "Oh okay, we'll just give up and send him to Milan instead", it will be just as hard or harder for Milan to try and get him away from West Ham. They should just leave well enough alone. Tevez is going to Man United, straight up.

It's pointless getting all agro over things that you really have no say in... If AC Milan beats man u in the battle over Tevez, you're just gonna have to accept that. There is a reason we beat man u in the running for the EUFA champions league title, maybe it is in his best interest to come over to the San Siro... whether you like it or not.
