As a Cardiff fan i am delighted we have managed to sign him up, it really is a top quality signing, even at 32 i think he could score goals for fun in the Championship!

As mentioned in the article about the defences being different in the Championship, it might take a few games for Fowler to find his footing, and he will find himself on the end of a clattering or two, he probably wont even make himself noticed for a majority of games, but without doubt the drop in sharpness of defences is going to make every Cardiff fans day because thats where I think he will reap the rewards, because although his physical sharpness may not be as it used to be, his finishing is world class and I'd expect him to be up there with the league's top scorers if he can keep himself fit. I hope from a Liverpool fan's point of view, he bangs plenty in this season for you lot.

I see no issue here. Fowler still had a healthy enough return for us in his first 6 months back considering his fitness levels. Lack of opportunity could be attributed to his poor goal return last year. I still do not know why Rafa offered him another year than never used him. Or extremely scarcely in any case. The Championship defences are poor by comparison to the Premiership, for the larger part anyway. Fowler still has enough in his locker to cause some serious problems in the lower leagues. I would expect him to net 15 goals in Wales this coming season. Despite being past his prime, he will still be too good for most of what the Championship will throw at him

I believe that if Fowler had been used more by Liverpool last year they would have finished nearer the top. He may not be as quick as he used to be but even at his peak he wasn't very fast, his game is about intelligence, finishing and importantly he is a great team player. Barring injury I think 20 goals is realistic, could see him getting more too.
