I kind of see where your going with this Ralph, and i would say we are moving in the right direction, but maybe not so fast as to be challenging for Europe, but fingers crossed!

11th at best...if not relegation battle again.

The short answer is yes they can challenge for europe. What with the increased money a lot of teams have spent money. Ok West Ham, Liverpool and Tottenham have spent big but most teams have splashed out, Wigan have bought a fair few too. I think this season could throw up a lot of surprises, i think the top two will be the same, i wouldnt bet on the order of them but for me its Man U and Chelsea again but after that i think there's gonna be one hell of a contest. So why cant West Ham be in the mix?.

West Ham in Europe next season ?You mean playing Cardiff city ? West Ham on a par with Spurs ?Even my spurs reserves are better than your tevez-less losers ! Your one good player is Ashton but you would be a fool to think that he is on par with my main man Berbatov. Don't make my fat belly laughed !

Dont expect too much, if we can go the season beating teams that we should, ( and lets admit it, we always looses to the wally teams, especially in the cup)and nicking draws and wins against the big boys, and so having a season of respectability, and lets not bother with europe, i didnt like sicilly (s*#t hole if im honest, with the welcome of an std)its too much too soon. the season after should be the one where we attract even more top players, and by then Chelski would have well and truely been dicked by the russian, and there will be a true sense of belief around the disney castles.

Agree that relegation shouldn't be an issue but believe 9th at best. West Hm have spent a bit, but so have a few other mid-table teams, Man City, Aston Villa to name but two. Plus all the clubs that were already in a better position squad-wise like Newcastle, Everton, Blackburn, Spurs. I dont believe they have done enough to compete for Euorpe. IMHO

Finishing within the top ten will be satisfactory for next season. I'm sure that there will be two or three more players joining us before the window closes which will be a further boost to our squad. I think that if we get off to a very decent start then we may even challenge for a UEFA Cup spot. We have the quality, especially with the likes of Deano and Upson returning from injury and who will be like new signings for us. So a good start is important. It could be all the difference between a UEFA Cup place or a lower-half finish.

Your club may have money but the signings yu have made are hardly world beaters. Bellamy's goal scoring record is not as good as the article says. The new players have signed for the money and as a result will not have the determination (or ability)to take you higher than mid-table. A lot of money spent on mediocrity with no hinger.

It's utter s*it to suggest Neill is on 'astronomical' wages. Check your facts before guessing. Nice to see someone not trying to be negative about us though.

I think a top 6 place is very achievable this season, when we realised we could play last season we won 7/9 and a couple of quality additions and Ashton and Upson back should see us challenging the so called big 4.This is going to be a big season for West ham united.

As it looks like, WH will also sign Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal. so not too bad team on the way.

delusions of grandure time me thinks, easy hammers, we aint gonna win a thing qualify for the champions league, or get relegated, why the fluk should we, we have just got away with the biggest swerve since O J simpsons glove maker. Easy tigers we will get there but not his year.
As it looks like, WH will also sign Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal. so not too bad team on the way.
You will be signing a 30 yr old injury prone player (to go along with Upson and Bellamy)who said that he would never play for another premiership team and was on the verge of signing for Fiorentina. The spammers offer him £60k a week and now he wants to join you. Your club is fast becoming a laughing stock for the inflated wages you pay for average players.
£70k a week is over priced for an average defender.
He's not on 70k a week, thats the point! He is on less than 40k and that is a fact. Theres only 2 or 3 right backs in the prem that i beleive are as good.
Er, West Ham finished 15th not 17th as stated...
Typical response. Congratulations on being the first one with the racist remarks. We made mistakes, but have now put in place a management structure which is beginning to pay results. Your club's solution is to give an alcoholic manager vast sums of money to spend on average players. Good plan!!

Ljungberg = Hassiebaink at Charlton (I need a nice salary as retirement is near) Parker = Djemba Djemba at Villa ( Chelsea is too competitive for me so a step down would suit me fine... or is it so?) Bellamy = Bellamy at anywhere
