Nice article, eloquent and well-written. If it wasn't for the complete lack of objectivity and astounding lack of accuracy I would have enjoyed it immensely. Unfortunately, the only enjoyable aspect of this article was its English. I implore the author to write more, but please, please, please write upon a subject that you have researched first and while offering an opinion, try to balance that opinion with accurate journalism. Other than that, nice.

Yet another Tevez article is written with absolutely no regard to the truth whatsoever by a sad person with seemingly nothing better to do with his life. It really isn't worth analysing the article and pointing out all the mistruths and clear distortion of the facts. However what is absolutely clear and it has been confirmed by the Premier League, is that Carlos Tevez is a football player registered at West Ham. For all those who doubt still doubt this, for those who don't bother reading the transcripts of both hearings and prefer to give personal opinions over qualified fact, West Ham (not Joorbichan or Man Utd) currently pay the salary of Carlos Tevez. It therefore doesn't take much intelligence, clearly something Andrew Coll lacks, to work out who Carlos Tevez belongs to.

Stopped reading after the second paragraph as the author clearly has no grasp on the truth whatsoever.

I'm sick to the back teeth of idiots like this ignoring the facts just to write a story. The standard of journalism over the Tevez saga has been abysmal but this article even makes the Daily Mail and SSN look intelligent. WEST HAM own Tevez's registration. The registration was, is, and will continue to be, completely legitamate. Tevez was never ineligible. West Ham unilaterally terminated an unlawful clause in the contract. This is acceptable practice with unlawful clauses. This does not make the contract null and void. Please find out the facts before writing more drivel you complete and utter numpty.

good with words, but clearly not up to date, after going through the pain of reading the artical i thought there maybe some valid points, but must agree withe the rest WHAT A WANKER,blowing bubbles

West Ham have done nothing wrong ... why the fine ... why is the move to Man U taking an age to untangle ... why did it take Liverpool weeks to do the same thing you did in a Friday afternoon to make him legible to play at Wigan ? Its all bent you know it is and it looks like you have got away with it , admit it and be thankfull ... CHEATS.

Re Trevor's comments. The arbitration panel also said at the end of their hearing, that they would have taken further and more serious action against West Ham, if they had chaired the original hearing. Disguised mumblings, meaning that they would have docked West Ham points and not mere pennies if they could have done. West Ham have done nothing but lie, cheat and cover-up the true facts of the Tevez signing all along, but I have a feeling that they will be found out eventually, when Joorabchian puts all the original paper work on the judges desk at the high court hearing, which is why all of the West Sham fans are absolutely terrified at the moment. As for Chaz, you should have called yourself Chav, you complete pilchard. Go away and come back when you have learnt to write, you east end scummer!!
by SuperHammer on July 28, 2007
Less of the East End Scummer pal. If people were to know the full facts of the Tevez saga, then we wouldn't be reading all this shit by these so called journalists from the footballing world. Everyone seems to be jumping on a band wagon full of tossers, to discredit the academy of football that is West Ham. Tevez was always a registered WHU player, WHU OWN his registration which has always made him legible to play. The so-called third party contract was an unlawful arrangement between Joortramp and (shitstain) Brown to line each others coffers. When you have something decent, or thoroughly researched to say, then come back. Try delving into Alex Wankersons dealings and all of Manures tapping up scams. Double standards from a sweaty sock?? Ludicrous I hear you say, he has a knighthood for his contribution to football. He would never do a thing like that to discerdit the game!!

FFS...i guess this crap sells papers...or keeps idiots like you in a job. By all means report your own personal slant on things but please READ the facts before waffling on with a load o verbal diahorrea!
Out of court settlement next week ... in other words nudge nudge wink wink say no more. Cheat FC , Scudamore , Dame Trev all in the clear Kia pockets a whopping back hander and everyones happy ... apart from Sheff U who had a cast iron case but the people who know the truth have bent everyway they can to fck them off. Scammers just have the grace to admit that you have got away with it , another club on another day would have been put in the Conference for all the lies and deciept that has come out of the Boleyn ! BIG BUCKS WIN THE DAY !
In response to West Ham Who? you are partly correct with the comments of the arbitration panel. They did intimate that had they sat on the panel, they may have come to a different, more severe conclusion. However, they didn't sit on the panel, at no point did they say that points would be deducted if they had had sat on the panel and they concluded that the original hearing was conducted fairly. West Ham done something wrong, owned up to it, were found guilty and that should have been it. Can you believe Jooribchian? Wanted in other countries for money laundering. There is not one West Ham fan that I know who is terrified. Cheating and lying are big words for little boys, especially when they cannot substantiate it other that what has been written down as part of the hearing notes. You can tell the intelligence, or lack of it, of West Ham Who? as he thinks its funny to refer to West Ham as West Sham.HO, ho, ho, can you hear us all laughing. Get a life you sad little boy.
Trevor ... you have got away with it mate come on admit it and no West Ham fan is "terrified" is because there is too many people high up in the PL involved with dirty hands on this affair for the truth to ever come out.
by kevshep on July 28, 2007
that has to rank along with mcabe's ill informed rants for sheer crassness.like the coments say research your subject first..he is registered at west ham,a simple fact , which means he is eligible to play for us.if he goes to man utd they wont own him either, its at a two year loan, you moron.i think you need to lk for another job, perhaps writing for a comic?oh by the looks of this article you already are

It truly is Groundhog day in the Tevez saga. Im used to reading the same bored fact trotted out.Thought this would bring something new to light unfortunately the only thing it bought to light was the authors's ineptitude-self absorbed, witless and absolute shit. A shambolic piece of "journalism"
by BAC on July 28, 2007
Austin Coll is wrong to accuse FIFA of doing nothing. FIFA recommended the dispute between Tevez and West Ham should be determined by arbitration at the CAS, the international body set up for dealing with such matters. And it would have been if Joorabchian had been willing. Austin Coll's 'the story so far' is almost too inaccurate for description. Suffice it to say his facts are virtually 100% incorrect, and his unique slant on what he obviously sees as a conspiracy of 'the suits' verges on paranoia. Let's not forget who first went to law over the Tevez affair - McCabe of Sheffield United, backed by Fayed of Fulham - and they lost their 'cast iron' case, even though they both wear suits. Austin Coll's rant might have been amusing if it had been written 'tongue in cheek', the trouble is, it comes across as if he really believes the tripe he has written.
In response to Brian I don't agree that we "got away with it". What I do believe is that it would have been the same punishment for any other team, and that incudes the likes of Wigan & Sheff Utd. I also believe over an issue that is without precedent in the top division, any points deduction would have led to court action from West Ham. I really do not believe that with the Sky money that is being pumped into the game now that the Premier League would dare deduct points for fear of probable court action from the wronged team. Hand over heart, is West Ham's offence any different to some of the tapping up we have seen over the years from the top teams? The bung culture, we know its there but cannot prove it? Resting key players? Hookey loan deals and some permanent deals including Man Utd and Sheff Utd amongst others? Get real, this is business. This ceased to be sport many years ago. The Tevez affair has been blown out of all proportion to the original crime. If we consider that Jooribchian made a public sta

Probably not the most indepth article, but it is highly amusing to see the WHUFC fans slag it off, whilst ignoring the underhand, deceitful practices of their club's management. Hilarious!!
Responding to Peter, the majority of the sensible comment of West Ham fans is correcting the errors in the article. Yet another tosser who speaks before he engages his brain. Hilarious!!

yet another pile of shit written about the tevez saga. this is the worst one yet. why dont you jump off the bandwagon , and start writing about some other dirty business. how about steve kabba(that one seems to have gone by without all you weasels jumping on the poor old blades(who`ve done nothing wrong), or scousers or mancs tapping up, or rolling over for fulham. that all seems to be ok. blades were relagated coz they `re crap .mr coll you are a complete knob. are you mccabes boyfriend . fuck you.
Trevor H, get off your high horse. If you have ever been down the Mile End Road, you will have been approached by a bloke asking you whether you want to buy a pair of trainers. He will say "don't ask me where I got them from, but the price is right". A fairly typical way of buying things in the East End, I think you'll agree. West Ham merely applied this "want to buy some trainers, John?" method of doing business to acquiring two footballers. They did not know who owned them, but they liked the look of them and the price was right. Unfortunately, sometimes the authorities see you "wearing the trainers" and ask where you got them from. Luckily, the authorities in question were as stupid as the purchasers in this case, believed the purchasers' story and let them off with a fine and a caution. Hilarious! Now, of course, somebody wants to buy the trainers from them and they need proof of ownership. All panic breaks loose, as the truth of the murky deal has to be explained away again, but this time more convinci
All panic breaks loose, as the truth of the murky deal has to be explained away again, but this time more convincingly, so both WHU and the Premier League are shitting themselves. Luckily for WHU, the PL is so powerful, it will find a way to get Tevez off to a decent team and let the whole affair quieten down.
