I guess the African Nations Cup is a neccessary problem that the Premier League has to contend with. All the top teams have such huge squads and should be able to deal with any exodus

We will replace Toure with Djourou/Senderos Eboue with Sagna/Hoyte/Walcott/Hleb Adebayor with Eduardo/Bendtner/Hleb/Rosicky/Walcott So it's not too much of a problem.

Dear Gooners It is gut wrenching to think of a season with no hope for silverware once again. I totally lost hope on this squad. It does not make sense to give lots of excuses like our players are young talents, they have a lot of potential, and they are developing, etc every year. I can not understand the philosophy of Arsene Wenger. We know money is a problem. He did not spend even the money we received from the sell of Henry, Reyes, Freddie and others. Does he think all other managers are foolish in strengthening the already strong teams by brining world class players in? Shame on him! We all know the lack of genuine wingers on the right and left sides. We lost Pires and Reyes with no replacement. We lost Henry and he brought unknown Da Silva. We do not have a genuine back up for Gael Chilichy in the left pull back. Still he thinks we can challenge for the title. How? He must be a mad man. Think of ManUn and Chelsea. They have two world class players in every position. Do we have fearsome players a

kebe why not go support chelski then, they spend loads and still get outclassed by our 'young talents'. i am sure you will be happier supporting them and you might even make it to a game that is not the youth cup semi's.

Kebe - Shame on you. If you had bothered to go to any of the pre season friendlies you would have been very encouraged. So many of our youngsters were playing against top European clubs and looking very comfortable. I know they were 'only' friendlies but clubs of this stature never want to lose. Sure we could buy some expensive foreigner whose at the top of his game in a different league, but then he would have to settle in (Henry, Drogba, Ronaldo all took a while to settle). Why hinder the progress of our youngsters who we see day in day out in the reserves and know their potential. Kieran Gibbs against PSG was a revelation, he ripped them apart down the left wing. He looks more than ready to join the first team. Bendtner looks very sharp (but perhaps a little static for our game) and makes a very strong and big centre forward which should give us options. Theo is back and fit. Armand Traore looks better and better each game I see him and is probably at the level Clichey was 2 years ago.
You said it, Arsenal have no money. Are you not happy with Eduardo? Torres is a waste of money compared to him. We are better now without Henry whose ego was stifling the team. Arsenal is a TEAM again. It's a big mistake to rely on one player. Without Drogba Chelsea can forget winning the title, but Arsenal have more firepower. I still think Wenger should buy a world class left winger and a decent centre back. Senderos and Flamini should be sold and then we're all set for a title challenge.

Is the only player worth mentioning that we'll miss. Adebayor has 30 chances a match and scores 1 every 4 matches... that's 120 chances per goal. Eboue dives too much and his performances are a roller coaster. Toure is a rock and will be missed.
Dear hopefuls, Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t argue about the lack quality in the team. Beating Inter fielding second choice players in friendlies does not guarantee that the team is good enough. I would be the happiest person if this squad endures the pressure week in week out and mount a challenge on Chelsea and Manun. On their day they can beat any team in the world. But think of the consistency through out the season, I can’t trust. So, never mind loosing Toure, Eboue and Emmanuel to African cup of nations, we will be sure of loosing the race for major trophies well before that.
Right you are!

I realy agree what Kebe suggested, I am also expected from the coach that he brings best attacing players but instead he bought what he have. Therefore with this squad I am expecting from aresenal to keep their forth place this season.
Sorry sold instead of bought for the previous comment. Other wise I suggest to kebe to join Manche with out any fee.

Getahunkas-I am afraid that you are a ManUn fan by chance. Would you shut up your wide mouth there? Don’t forget how ManUn suffered twice in the hands of Arsenal last seasons. Arsenal lost the title mainly due to series of injuries to key players. We all know about Roony and Ronaldo. Don’t write Arsenal off the title challenge because you bolstered your team by recruiting Anderson and Nani. The only best player you brought in is TEVEZ. There is no argument over there. Don’t forget Theo and Bendtener are of better quality with some premiership experience.
Hi Gibs,We will discuss this issue on the half of the season, but for the time being relax and enjoy with the squad you have.

Thats the reason Wenger brought in Bacary Sagna to replace eboue when on african cup of nations duty

i dont undastand this blatant abuse of Kebe when he is airing his views which make sense. unfortunately sentiments wont make up for our shortcomings. we need 3 experince wold class players to compensate for inexperince in our team.YOUNG TALENTS dont win trophies. they give a false sense of hope. mark my words

With the huge influx of African players right across Europe, I think there must be a case for FIFA to bring this tournament in line with the European Championships. Clubs know these players have this bi-annual committment, so no arguments there, but it must make sense to shift this tournament now.
