I am glad Vieiri turned us down, if its true and we did go for him, Jol needs his head tested! I am sure it can't be true, not that i am doubting your sources Mark, i saw it myself before.

Mark, 100k is too much, Eidur is good ,but not THAT good.

First time i checked this out, recommended by friends, very amusing and a nice slant on the usual rumours stuff i read on other sites. On Pedersen, i think he could do well, but will Blackburn sell? not if they have to sell Benni as well
by Frank on August 13, 2007
As a Wigan fan i found this amusing, but not as amusing as Scharners comments in the first place, i like the enthusiasm, but maybe a reality check is needed in this post Jewell world!
by dami on August 13, 2007
pederson would fit perfectly in the arsenal spaud on the left wing but mark hughes is demanding to much i dont want to see flamini and bentdner go because they are arsenal stars for the future.i think we need a central defensive midfielder and a left winger and we need to start buying some world class players take a look at the quality players liverpool have brouught in and manchester united and in order to close the gap on chelsea and manu is to sign experienced players.

Frank, Scharner seems a chancer he was linked with Everton earlier he's in dreamland thinking he'll play for Liverpool, anyway good luck with the season you may need it

dami i would assume that you are not a gooner. putting that fact a side, you should really understand arsenal from within to write off your opinion. Arsenal works differently with the other big clubs. they always have and why after all the success on and off the pitch we should change our transfer policy. Gooners since 96 would all put faith in the concept of arsene knows.... there is a reason why arsenal FC makes so much profit and will continue to do so. stop qeustioning the way le boss works and enjoy the season. As for the gap with the big two? Wenger and the whole of Arsenal is working on it probably not your way but its arsene's arsenal way!

I like MGP but not at the cost of Bendtner. Bendtner has the potential to be massive.
by Alex Noyer on August 13, 2007
I have been very for MGP to join us for a while. I covered frums about his perfect fit in the arsenal system since last summer and i hope it is true this time... However this rumour appeared in the people which is not the most reliable source... but i wait hoping... Other transfer news: Fulham are chasing a new pair of glasses for Moany Sanchez who did not watch the same game as anyone else sitting at the emirates yesterday! Our penalty shouts were legitimate and proven contact fouls whereas his shout was about a player who tripped himslf and moaned about it... He calls us divers... He is a rookie in the EPL so a bit of humility in his ignorance would be appropriate... the prat... Back to MGP: I HOPE IT COMES THROUGH!!!!

We need a central defensive mid and left winger.... we here that every single day from a moaning gooner. As the season begins i think its time for gonners to stop moaning about what we dont have and start looking at what we have. The ever so obvious pathetic sad moaning must be so bloody obvious that i am not surprise wenger is reluctant to sign those players of your wish just to make u moan a bit more. Rally behind your team and stop moaning. Last 2 seasons have not been the best but arsene is working on it. Urging something obvious like that is not helping any other gooner feeling better! As k mentioned arsene knows. the day all the fans and media start telling what Arsenal should get is the day we say goodbye to arsene. you dont want that do u? so stop moaning and support!
by timmo on August 13, 2007
i cant believe BMJ said anthony gardner had a gud game am i the only 1 that thinks he"s rubbish seriously how does he get his game please spurs just splash the cash and buy curtis davies
but while i do not moan about arsene's way of which i am a big fan, I still hope for a new more established and proliffic winger with more EPL experience such as MGP... I am more than happy with our squad and there is hardly a position where i envy our rivals. Centre of the park is full of options, our attack is versatile (eduardo adding to this i expect) and our defence although clumsy from time to time has serious assets such as toure and clichy (who the hell is cashley cole?). Wenger's recruitment is shrewed and follows his belief in team building rather than quick fixes that are too pricey (chelsea price/success rate is pathetic)... so Arsene knows and as fans we can express our hopes but i agree despair is not the trait of a supporter blessed with a character such as Wenger!

I think mgp wud b a great signing but for cash only as the season wears on we will need all our players especially bentner as he is a big star for the futre and to all u yids ha ha ha ha ha
by steve sherwood on August 13, 2007
To be honest Everton arent all that good they have some good individual players but pompey have a much better squad, in a way Nugent is probably better off joining pompey than everton. It wouldnt supprise me if pompey push past everton in the table over the next few seasons.
by Alex N on August 13, 2007
I wanted to say that Nugent is not a subject of argument as he has not done anything really to justify why fans should argue about who should have got him! He is hardly convincing nor has he done anything ground breaking in the past: - Championship goalscoring record hardly means anything - his goal for england was more of an accident if you remember correctly - his appearances so far for pompey have not been convincing So what is the fuss all about? He is another proof that english player get over evaluated by a national bias (that is rather natural) and it does not help the inflated market where their services commandeer fees beyond the ridiculous for unproven talent. £6 million is way too much for nugent in the same way that So'ton are asking ridiculous figures for their players (Jones or our very own Walcott who we adore but whose worth of £12m was chelsea-esque!) Many club reproach to wenger not to buy english while it is a fact that value for money hardly ever applies to english players and there are n

it is quite simple actually.. MGP for Flamini $$ is gut.. other than that, NO.. Arsenal will be gut for MGP.. and Flamester will be gut at Rovers.. Flamster have no future at arsenal.. just look the way he play.. he can play alongside Cesc.. and please, no Bendner in the deal please.. This lad is something.. He can give Arsenal with option in attacking department..
by Moses on August 13, 2007
I am not happy to see mikeal silvestre at old-trapford he should please go and find a new club.
by Adam on August 14, 2007
Yes, Pederson would be good for Arsenal but there is no way Wenger will transfer bendtner in the deal. Flamini $$$ may happen (though i think this rumour is just rumour) but Bendtner is definitely part of Wenger's plans. This is more so given that quality striker depth was proved to be an Arsenal problem last year (and we have lost Henry, Ali & Baptista while gaining only Bendtner and Eduardo)
by MattH on August 14, 2007
Bendtner is poor! Flamini's the one for the future. Off load the lame horse and bring in MGP (Who can play up front aswell!)
by OHIS on August 14, 2007
Arsenal should not waste time to sign him.wenger should accept the offer
by nima on August 15, 2007
it would be a great buy
