Anelka would be a good buy for us, whereas Dyer would be dire!
by Neil on August 16, 2007
Van der Vaart is class, might be just what we need, seeing as Jenas has become a donkey!
by Malcom on August 16, 2007
Bugger, Berbatov out! Come on Bent, score a hat-trick against Derby and this nightmare start will be over! I'll even put a tenner on your score three times!
by graham on August 16, 2007
With your 'width' of knowledge I would have thought you'd get Anelka's first name right.
by Adriano on August 16, 2007
Berbatov's out for no more than 2 weeks! The press are just obsessed with gunning us down after setting us up all pre-season! I notice no one is saying that Utd have drawn two and are now four points behind Chelski... Oh I forgot, it's too early in the season for that!
by Gerry on August 16, 2007
Raphael Van der Vaart would be a real step up from the likes Jenas who has been woeful at WHL. He every so often puts in a performance but only when given lots of time by opposition. He is not Premiership matertial as are a number of other Spurs players in key positions. We have a goal keeper who would struggle in the lower leagues. Jol sticks with there players even when they produce really bad displays that is his weakness.

Manchester united is a bastard
by sam on August 16, 2007
dyer is exactly what west ham need at the moment with faubert out..last saturday proved we lacked width down both flanks and the speed and creation needed to break premiership defenses down..this results in good business by curbs..keep them coming

by Cynic on August 16, 2007
I don't know that anybody aside from you and him cares what Anelka's name really is Graham ... and you and I know that every fan is the country has their own name for him.

Wenger is smart
by Quinny on August 16, 2007
Way to good for Spurs. This guys is one of our finest players [Meaning Holland]. He should be in the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Barcelona. Spurs are a good team, but not good enough.
by Camel with the Hump on August 16, 2007
'So go on Martin it's time to go dutch' When is it going to sink in that Martin Jol has absolutley nothing to do with what players Spurs buy and sell? When r u going grasp that MJ is a yes man and that the board buy and sell the players because of a history of lack of trust in previous managers .Rebrov ring any bells? MJ is Spurs coach and he can't even pick the strongest team.Typical Spurs. Last season we had a top front line in Berba, Keane MIdo and Defoe. We spent 16.5 million on a striker when we needed to improve essential areas as follows: Goal Keeper, Central Defence, and in midfield.Something stinks and it's ENIC. Wake up.

"It is unlike Arsene Wenger to invest in young French players" is that sarcasm?
by Nick on August 16, 2007
With Martin Jol obviously on his way out could I recommend Neil Warnock to the Totenscum board as a marriage made in heaven perhaps they could appoint Ken Bates as financial manager, as they are looking forward to derby games a gainst Milwall and Barnet in the very near future.
by keano on August 16, 2007
its far too early to write off spurs, however, its not too early to write off man u. laat season, man u only drew 5 games - thats only 3 left! And, they will have there 2 most influential playors out or the next few games. Yes, there team is good, but to be 4pts down, AND unable to break down a portsmouth dfence, which did not contain any of last seasons defence - all were new! Van der vaart was quality at the worldcup, so dont write him off, but why move to spurs? anelka is a miseable sod, and i reckon most portsmouth fans would prefer Lita to him.
by LaurieinSpain on August 16, 2007
What is it about Spurs that you think might attract Van Der Vaart, one of the hottest properties around right now and who plays in a position that is always difficult to fill... just name one Englishman from the last decade who looked the part there? Bottom of the table with a manager who seems to suck charisma from the room a la Glen Roeder. Deeply uninspiring. I make Upton Park a more likely destination than WHL. But he will go to a top Italian Spanish or English team. And Spurs are not in that category, dont believe the hype. Its just another Spurs straw clutching excercise.
by Ariano on August 16, 2007
I'm not making a direct comparison, just saying that everyone has written us off and are just shy of saying that we are about to implode after two games and no one is saying that Utd will struggle to Catch a Chelski side that in my opinion will be more of a challenge to them this season!
