Capellos showed last year that he can succeed even in the face of management incompetence and inconsistency above him. And he understands defense. He'd be perfect to drop-in at Spurs, so I hope the idea never comes up!
If Liverpool do not win the Premier League it is not out of the question that Rafael Benitez will be fired.
Are you high?

How can you believe RB will sacked if he doesn't win the league this season, he's already said that the aim is to get closer this year and challenge for the title next year, a view that has been agreed by the Chairmen

My point being that if Rafa does not accomplish 2 things this season: 1. Win the PL 2. Get within 5-10 points of winning the PL and Capello is available and willing to take the Liverpool job it is something to be considered. Look, I am a huge Liverpool fan and supporter of Rafa. That doesn't change the fact I think Capello is the best manager on the planet and possibly a better league manager than Rafa.
