Manure will be 6th this season. That's my prediction.
by gooner on September 14, 2007
You speak about how good Arsenal are looking, but dont actually explain why they will then only finish 4th!
by Arsenal on September 14, 2007
How can u ever say about arsenal finishing fourth.....absolutely impossible....they ll be in 2nd position....chelsea are nothing without lampard and terry....and man u proved themselves by their worst start they are also nothing without rooney and ronaldo..arsenal will be in top 2..tats sure of this season.dont you know that wenger is creating a great one of the best squad for arsenal this season.its we the gunners gonna rock this season.

so far 5 games gone arsenal and liverpool look good, arsenal young guns improved so far games which we would have drawn last season we are winning, if we improve on a away record then i will be more tham happy. liverpool excellent first time in a long time i saw liverpool and thought yeah thats what am talking about. man utd struggling at first but finding there feet in the last few games, tevez is good player but wont be prolific, they have ronaldo and rooney back soon. chelsea havent impressed so far but they never do because when they play bad they still win games. my prediction 1st my belove arsenal 2nd liverpool impressed with them 3rd chelsea always get the results 4th united only because R&R wont repeat last seasons form

despite the so-called dominace of manu, its noteworthy they only achieve these levels of success with extra players on the pitch dressed up as match officials ... you are obviously a manu fan ... but, Itell u if we reallydo get unbiased refereeing, manu has no hope ... they have always been over-rated and still remaian over-rated ...

We're coming to pilfer silverware

Always a pleasure to read the thoughts and insights of a fellow football fan, but just as disappointing to see the brainless comments submitted by the likes of J bo. Strange that the 'personal abuse will not be tolerated' warning that greets anyone wishing to comment on submitted articles is so open to interpretation. Who the hell's the referee on this site! Fergie would have a field day with this sort of incompetent officiating. Football - bloody hell!

with both coming back into contention it probably won't matter, but you guys look awful going forward without them. (apart from saha when he came on)
by CW on September 14, 2007
Does it worry me that we look toothless when we are missing our two leading goalscorers from last season and our main out-and-out striker? Not really. Chelsea only need to lose Drogba to look toothless and Liverpool would be probably be as ineffectual as they were last season if Torres was out for an extended period. Losing your best players is going to cost you.
by Goofle on September 14, 2007
How come Arsenal didnt get the excuses when Henry, Rvp, Gallas, Gilberto, Eboue, Diaby, Clichy and Rosicky were out? Man U fans, it happens to everyone!
by Hugo on September 14, 2007
...and yet oddly nobody seemed to be sympathising with us when we spent half of last season without RVP and Henry, that just showed "a lack of depth"! Unfortunately all summer I've thought it'd be chavski, The Arsenal, manure, pool and I'm going to stick to that still

I think most of what you have written is ok and fair enough as an opinion. As stated by many of us who frequent these pages however, it is just too early to make decisions as firmly as you have. I think one thing to bear in mind regarding both liverpool and arsenal is that we both have something to prove this season and that can sometimes be what gives a team the edge. I am not going to comment at this stage on my prediction for the top four as undoubtedly someone will come on saying that as a scouser i am not going to give anyone the topspot but liverpool. I feel that it will be a very close ran competition and am looking forward to this weekends results as a lot could change. I sincerely wish all teams the best of luck its going to be a great season and i feel the ending will surprise everyone

In the 2003/2004 season arsenal raised the bar for the premiership by going unbeaten, that was the benchmark for all teams to follow. Gone are the days where a team can win the league by losing 5 games, the most important thing is getting a good start which 4teams have done. No 1 can deny that Man utd were unstoppable last season winning the league with flair and style but a lot of teams have bolstered their squads so its gonna be hard for man u to win it this season, i am an arsenal fan and most teams have figured out a way to play against the big 4 look at blackburn, dont really like them but they play some good stuff, aston villa look fearless, everton look very organised, newcastle look organised and u cant count tottenham out as well, it is gonna be tough but thats y we all love football.
by shit on the villa on September 15, 2007
shit on the villa, shit on the villa today..didnt bother reading what you wrote but whatever it was probably a load of bollox..you win one game against chelsea and suddenly you brummie wankers get the tottenham diseae! and ideas above your station! FACT:you will never amount to abything for the reason your team is full of english players! the most over rated media hyped wankers out there!..shit on the villa, shit on the villa..go stevie bruce our feeder club les blues!might of played for utd but hasn't followed wankers like hughes, moyes, reid shit on the villainto dirty play!shit on the villa,
chelsea were nearly bankrupt until they won the lottery!man utd didnt win nothing for 3 years only a title we lost in 2002/3. liverpool have never been close its only been man utd and arsenal and wenger building new teams! after 97/98 until2001/02 then 2003/04 so more crap from you!shit on the villa, shit on the villa, shit on the villa.ok before that utd pissed it, until wenger turned up!shit on the villa today
How come Arsenal didnt get the excuses when Henry, Rvp, Gallas, Gilberto, Eboue, Diaby, Clichy and Rosicky were out? Man U fans, it happens to everyone!
because when that happened arsenal werent going to win anything apart from the carling cup

I have a lot of respect for some of Man Utds players. They are quality. Or I should say they are the best money can buy, because that has always been Man Utd's 'development' policy - the cheque book. For many years Man Utd have been the RICHEST team in England and have been DOMINANT in the transfer market and at the bank. Still, Fergie is a fantastic coach for getting his money (sorry players) in order every week and for consistently getting results. Thats what wins leagues. Their record in cups isn't nearly as good as Man Utd can win the league by losing to the best teams but eventually with their cup runs they run into a good team and lose. Rooney coming back will be a huge boost, he his a great player and I love his determination. C.Ronaldo is diving scum. He has to be the most overrated player in the world. He won't help you against Everton because he is terrible against teams in the top half of the table. He scores all his goals against the relegation battlers who then all vote for him for the PFA whils
by Gunn3r can lick my freaking ass on September 15, 2007
hey dude if c.ronaldo is a diving scum RVP is worst off ! RVP is a bigger cheat and diver \!
by Carlo on September 15, 2007
Gunn3r you sir are a syphalitic cock rimmer if you think Ronaldo isnt a quality player. 23 goals last season from midfield????? That is a truly astounding return for a guy of his age.
by bleeugh on September 15, 2007
hargreaves an inspired signing, you must be a manchester united supporter
by hardyboy on September 15, 2007
Its obvious we all have different opinions. And I'm glad none of us are managing Man U. Sir Alex has won 9 and number 10 is on the way!
by Gunn3r on September 16, 2007
Gunn3r you sir are a syphalitic cock rimmer if you think Ronaldo isnt a quality player. 23 goals last season from midfield????? That is a truly astounding return for a guy of his age.
And which teams did he score against? (relegation battlers) And how many were penalties (won by diving) And how many were tap ins set up thanks to his genuinely talented team mates? So far this season its 0 goals, 1 red card for violent conduct and 1 yellow card for diving. A truely fitting return for a player of his standards. "C.Ronaldo 06/07 great season, not a great player" - "Kaka is the reality, Ronaldo is the hype"
by Red Dutch on September 16, 2007
The Man Utd new boys will take time to bed in and for that reason I think it's expecting a little too much for us to retain the title this year. When the new players have integrated and begin to know each other's game and that of their other colleagues more successfully I'm sure we'll get back on track. We're also seeing the slow demise of former heroes at a time when their input is most needed!

as for the top one man u 6th lol take a look at your self, 5th place, as for liverpool hmmm well all i can say is premier league a team like portsmouth at home can beat anyone AND I MEAN ANYONE. but the champions league is on on wednesday and good old rafa rested torres, gerrard and babel, that says it allyou did not see saf resting scholes, ronaldo and tevez (and tevez flew back from australia) that proves 2 things. 1 rafa is still (although publically he wont admit it) after CHAMPIONS LEAGUE a]rather then premier glory and 2 liverpool do not have the reserves, man u can field a first team which has van der sar, neville, vidic, ferdinand, evra, giggs, hargreaves, scholes, ronaldo, rooney, saha, and a second team that is kushack, browne, oshea, silvestra, pique, nani, fletcher, carrick, park, tevez anderson, thats man u strength, i say the injuries for liverpool and arsenal will come, there is only chelsea to stand in our way
thats why he was rated worlds second best player last season hmm, let me guess every one in the pfa who voted for him (thats right they players) and he got pfa player and young player of the year, he and he is rated wotrlds number two by fifa i suppose they have no idea but you know everyone.
by Hans on September 17, 2007
its been too long and its brewing, my prediction: 1. Liverpool 2. Arsenal 3. chelsea 5. Newcastle 9. Manchester Utd top 2 will be between arsenal and liverpool if arsenal keeps their form, but i have the storng feeling that this season belongs to Liverpool FC
by Gunn3r on September 17, 2007

LOL! What are you smoking? When? You sir are an idiot. When Fifa release their top 3 he will not be in it, goals against Watford do not get you such ratings.
