I think Avram grant is would just be a sucker to Abrahamovich. i do not expect much at all from him. the premiership, the champions league are just too much beyond him. a man can talk as much as he likes and would seem like sense especially if he is eloquent. The issue is there are talkers, planners and doers... he has not done anything b4.. if his achievement was almost getting israel to qualify for the world cup then i think we are in some deep shit.

"War and Peace" has nowt on this novel. Grant; what has he achieved in club football? What's his european success? Chelsea will be taking a step back with this bloke. Personally I don't believe Chelsea will nose dive as they have a full squad of quality players. I do not think these players will perform, or want to perform as well as they did under Mourinho. I think a lot of these lucky one-nil wins they've been used to will dwindle. I think a number of the squad will want to follow JM out the door! The Mancs will now be in with a chance of three points this weekend. Chelsea will remain a great side.

give the guy a chance, chelsea would not have a thing without abramovitch, so respect his decisions

I am 49 years old and have been a Chelsea fan all my life. There were times when I used to think that Chelsea would never win the league in my lifetime. Enter Mourinho and my dream comes true....twice!! We even start talking about being European Champions and the world's number 1 club by 2014. I believed all this was possible with the "Special One" at the helm. With Grant.....3014 is more of a realistic target. What is Chelsea's management thinking!!

Why the f*ck did I just read all that crap? Everyone knows that all Abramovich wants is a puppet manager to suck his balls while he chooses the Chelsea team. Unless they get a real manager, Chelsea are going to fail miserably.

I a, laughing in my beer. Grant is a total moron and the average English fan knows more than he does about the game. This is great news for United fans -- this rubbish club is about to nosedive with a total non-entity at the helm. As for Abramovich -- he is a complete fool to trade Jose for this twerp.

Tacticly, the fella is a genious - theres no taking that away from him. 'arry didnt like him at first, but came to apreciate his ideas. He may not have managed at club level much, but he has the wits to take on the big boys, and the skill to take on the teams. Its only whether he can build chelski up mentally that is in question.

what are u doing here? and for all chelsea fans, and to this one who said he waited all his life for chelsea become champs: its not mourinho who brought u this champions, and succsess...its only abramovich, and in other words- his money. so, instead of you, i will accept all decison the boss make, even its inculding avrham grant. be positive, he has really big ass.

I remember when the English believed in fair play and giving somebody a chance to prove themselves. The English press is both rude and hysterical. Football is a game and not a war. Abramovich is not a fool.If he fails then criticize. Some of the fans believe than they made Chelsea champions. They did not.

JOSE MOURINHO's CHELSEA was not a frail team. GRANT will ride the inertia from JOSE'a team but CFC will run out of wind before the cruellest month. CHELSEA will not win a single trophy the season 2007/08. ROMAN and KENYON will declare that the objective has been achieved --- and start buying players at insane prices.

I am a Chelsea fan and I Think Roman Abramovich has made a MASSIVE mistake letting Mourinho walk. I think its Henk Ten Cate and Steve Clarke that are chosing players form their squad...not Grant. Now Mourinho's gone Chelsea are most likely to finish 3rd or 4th in the premier league if Grant remains as manager. Abramovich has already asked Frank Rijkaard to coach Chelsea for the 2008-09 season Bring in Young talented players and Rijkaard!! Or bring back Mourinho!!!!
