Has to be kevin phillips, his amazing goal scroing record speaks for itself. His 30 goals in his first premiership season was crucial and helped it become our most succesful years in the prem!

hmmmm... what a tough one... I would say Kevin Phillips.. for 3-4 years he was one of the best strikers in the country and played a massive part in Reid exciting Sunderland side in the 90's. His goals came from anywhere, and was pleased when he won me 2 grand being top scorer in the Premiership while wearing a red and white shirt....

Len Shackleton with honourable mentions for King Charlie and Raich Carter.

Has to be Gary Rowell for me,growing up in the 70's he was a big influence, with Shaun Elliot a close second

Very tough call. (Raich not Tim)Carter, Shackleton, Phillips, Rowell, Elliott, Monty, Alf Common etc the list is quite extensive. My vote would have to go to 'King' Charlie Hurley

For me, being a 24 yr old the Peter Reid era was the best I have ever seen. So I am going to have to say Super Kev Phillips. Watching him week in and week out was a joy to do so, you never knew where he was going to score from next.
