Everybody has the right to blow their own team's trumpet. Some people, however, are either insanely deluded or clinically insane. How can people seriously predict West Ham to win the title, as I have seen some do. There isn't a football fan out there who doesn't expect the very best of their team, but what do you class as the best your team can offer?
Are Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea fans still confident of the title? Will Arsenal hold on? Can Tottenham recover to qualify for the Champions League? Do Birmingham and Derby think they will survive? What are Newcastle's chances?
Maybe even surviving the drop can be too much to expect for the some fans. No disrespect to Derby, but surely that's a cert with even Coral making them 1/10 to be relegated.
So will your team win the title? Get that European slot? Make the top 10? Sit in mid-table? Or just simply survive the drop?
Also, now you can listen to the latest inteviews and thoughts from the managers and players:Tottenham ArsenalNewcastleLiverpool

4th bottom and stay in the cups until we play Arsenal's 'B' Team.
by Clubber on September 27, 2007
Champions again and another season unbeaten. I think there is not a top 4 anymore, just a top 1 with the rest bring up the rear. Nobody can touch us this year

When we played Arsenal you looked distinctly average and could have lost the game. Good side, but the league will be between Arsenal Liverpool and the ugly side of Salford. As for my beloved city I think we can get 6th spot this year with a cup final on the cards. We're going to spend a fortune in January when Frank gets his assets unfrozen.
by Steve on September 27, 2007
Most people who sit around me at Arsenal don't think we'll win the league anyway. it's everyone else talking us up at the moment. I think the current excitement is only because the way the media and other fans were going on you'd have thought the Spertz were going to win the league and we'd be relegated. the football were are playing currently is also a joy to watch.
by graeme on September 27, 2007
hey steve, what's with the latent racism,"spertz", come on mate you might have a rivalry with them but to descend to that level only shames you and your club.
by top-spur on September 27, 2007
we will finish fifth - we will get to a cup final - we will do well in UEFA! same points as last season at this stage and a better squad!! JD can fook off if he dont wanna get subbed - if i was ledley and he brushed me aside like last night i would have given the petulant little fool a clip!! if you get your chance you got to score, and i dont mean against cypriat teams in first round of UEFA, you can have no beef with the manager - step to far last night
How on earth is that term racist???
by another Mike on September 27, 2007
We've got 13 games between now and New Year. I honestly think that if we win 8 of those and get a few draws we'll be safe again this season !
we will finish fifth - we will get to a cup final - we will do well in UEFA! same points as last season at this stage and a better squad!! I would even go as far to say a couple are better than you than last year. You will struggle to recover the points lost so far and finish mid table.
by goonerguy on September 27, 2007
In fact if you could explain how you get anything racist out of the word Spertz i would luv to know... just see how your mind works and all...
by chris on September 27, 2007
im happy if we stay away from the drop it was horrible last season week in week out loosing match after match and all the crap with sheffield utd and tevez it maid it out to make us look like a bad team when we are not any way not a bad start so lets hope it continues as for spurs i think it might go from bad to bad and i think jol will leave soon aswell

by Gonuts McDie on September 27, 2007
Even Spurs fans refer to their own team as the yids. Try to remember the context in which a word appears before shitting a brick. Now Graeme, unless you've got something relevant to say, fuck off.
by andy on September 27, 2007
spurs will finish just below man u 2nd with a few cups to our name the writin is on the wall
yes my friend it's quite obvious you spend more time picking your shirts than you do on self censure, that perhaps is why you're spilling your racist shite all over the internet then when someone pulls you up on it you grunt "uh that's not racist", well it is my friend and just because the other similarly complacent orcs who frequent this website don't understand that does not excuse it. perhaps some esteem building excercises will help you refrain from flying full tilt into stereotypical deindividuation(look it up) behaviour.
by Carl on September 27, 2007
I think it is still too early to tell what is going to happen. I am not happy about our start (Tottenham), but could have been a lot worse and i am impressed with Gareth Bale. Bit upsetting to see Arsenal doing so well and that we still cannot hang onto a lead. But we will make it to the promised land, just have faith!
We're not having that argument here. Stick to the fucking point of the article, which is your revised expectations for the season. We've all seen far worse things written in these comments sections before, I'm not condoning it, just get back to the subject at hand.
by BlueWho on September 27, 2007
Gentlemen, mountains and mole hills come to mind (with regards the "anti-semitic" comments)... spurs are cr4p, they have nothing in midfield, its all well and good spending 16.5 million on strikers, but if there isnt anything to link your (ropey) defence with your strikers then you will go nowhere. arsenal are playing a lot better than last year, but just so you gooners all know...your youth team beat a very sililar team to the one that derby beat...doesnt look so impressive now does it... My team are vastly improved from last year, but are still nowhere near the finished article...but our progress is plain to see...Citeh to finish 7th.
Why worms you racist pig?? Why the prejudiced against centipedes or woodlice??
Lets change this around slightly lads...lets have some predictions for the top 8 this season, based on what we've seen already, not pure fantasy (e.g. tottenham fans saying they will get a champs league spot)...
My opinion mate for what it's worth:- 1.Man Utd. 2.Liverpool 3.Arsenal 4.Chavski (sorry Graeme) 5.Blackburn 6.Spertz 9really sorry Graeme) 7. Man Citeh
by john c on September 27, 2007
manchester united for champs. as much as i hate it, i'd much prefer gunners or l'pool. but as for the likes of spurs, all the relegation talk is crap, they will at least be top 10. anyone can have a bad start. villa also will be top 10 with everton, west ham, newcastle, & man city - relegation will be derby, birmingham & sunderland
1. Arsenal (I'm biased, or maybe I'm prejudiced, I just don't know anymore), 2. Man Utd, 3. Liverpool, 4. Chelski, 5. Blackburn, 6. Newcastle, 7. Man City, 8. Spurs. I apologise that the top three I've listed all play in red and exclude all the other colours of the spectrum. I'm just a racist, I guess.
back to football.... dont think manure is gonna be at the top this year, last year they were extreamly fortunate with injuries and giggsy really hasnt been performing and i dont think rooney/tevez works as well as i think teams are learning how to deal with ronaldo.
Why are you still here pontificating to us scum-bags? Fuck off already! Plus, you've not mentioned football once. On a football blog! And you're telling us that we're thick! That's irony right there, you fucking idiot.
roman wants to be a manager now... bad for business, see upheavel and a downward spiral for the london blues - and dont see the stars staying. HAHAHAAH fuck u cashley
He's gone a bit quiet... Anyway, I reckon it's too early. I think we'll have a better idea how we're going to fair once we've played another top 4 contender. By that I mean a real top 4 contender, not those jokers at Spurs. Is that PC enough for you, Graeme? You homo! Just kidding! Unless you want to open a fresh can of worms!
why not put your head above the parapit and stand up for what is right rather than hide behind your arsenal supporting friends who obviously believe that racism is a valid tool for use in abusing those who support a different team. i dare one of you gooners to stop and evaluate the posts, try seeing this debate for what it is, if you can
by Thomas on September 27, 2007
Premiership: Manchester United Champions League: Chelsea , Everton , Liverpool Uefa Cup: Blackburn , Newcastle Carling Cup: Everton FA Cup: Manchester United That are my predictions as I am a gambler and get most of my predictions right so all thoes who didn't make it on sorry and I know I will get moaning Spurs fans commenting on this because they finished in the top 5 tiwce they think there good lol they aint :D
I'm not here to stand up for what's right, or moral, or anything, Graeme. I'm here to slag off rival football teams and talk bollocks about Arsenal. It's fun. You come off sounding like the kind of guy who feels guilty when he wakes up with an erection. It's ok Graeme, go ahead touch it, you get used to shaving your palms eventually..

It tastes a bit like iron. I'm not here to match wits either. If anything, your constant shit-talking is making me want to act up even more.
by Sincs on September 27, 2007
lol... your right we may not finish as high as we'd like or win anything but at least we aren't corupt! Regardless of how much we spent, 4th place was always going to be to much to ask for... the top 4 in england are 4 of the best teams in the world... maybe people should just remember that!
by Jersey Gooner on September 27, 2007
i'm an idiot, that's ironic and only serves to prove my earlier point. perhaps your confidence would be knocked by such poorly constructed insults scooch my boy but it takes a bit more than the rantings of a low intellect deranged football hooligan to throw me, quite frankly scooch you and your ilk are beneath me. goodnight
That second sentence is a run-on. Also, you should capitalize the first letter of the first word in every sentence. BTW, Spurtz sounds like a fine substitute for Sp*rs, a word I can't bring myself to say.
Mate, we're not even sure if he's a Spud - he's not said anything about football yet. I think he might be a bit bored.
by geez on September 27, 2007
Lets give you the benefit of the doubt.... if you aint here to talk about football, what the fuck are you here for ???
by where are they? on September 27, 2007
where are you spuds hiding? JJ leave huddlestones batty alone and answer me? rui coster get rocha's dick out of your mouth and talk! 61 and never again here! want to laugh at you two wankers or have you commited suicide? since we last talked ,since your beloved tiny totters lost and now in relegation trouble! any ginger beers out there who have come across the two in some gay clubs pass this message to them! 61&never again is laughing so much at them!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
I don't need squat from you, you prejudiced, self-righteous, pompous dickweed.
by Kevin on September 27, 2007
So Graeme - who do you fancy for the league?
Graham, you loved me last night, what's wrong darling ?
yes we did spend the night together geez but i promise you i did not come inside you,,,,,well just a little
Well, Graham, what are your expectations for your club this season, or is your club the Neanderthal's ? After all, you are so obviously as thick as shit, you pathetic whining individual.
So Graeme - who do you fancy for the league?
i did fancy liverpool early on but the mancs have come back strong and your lot are playing some rather attractive stuff at the minute, chelsea will struggle though(within the top4)
Well, Graham, what are your expectations for your club this season, or is your club the Neanderthal's ? After all, you are so obviously as thick as shit, you pathetic whining individual.
you're still persisting with the futile insults, didn't you read my previous post. how you can attempt to label me as thick is desperatly tragic and only serves to prove my earlier deconstructing of your psyche. now go away sweet heart or i'll give you the full 12 inches next time.
by onlooker on September 27, 2007
cos your not winning and its not funny no more and you have bored us all, and some of the others have as well. goodnite.

Hi Graeme, Just so you know, I am posh, I went to public school, I'm from a rich family and I have a good job, I can construct a complex sentance and speak in an erudite manner. I also think your are an absolute prick. All that sounds to me is what you are desperately wanting and will never have. You're not intelligent because you can learn a few words or write posts with a thesaurus next to you. You made a point that you thought the Arse fan was an anti-Semite or using anti-Semitic terminology. Quite frankly that's a ridiculous statement in its self, however your pompous, arrogant, self gratifying bullshit just spells out the fact that that you're a complete tool. You clearly have nothing better to with your life than to create an argument out of nothing so that your pathetic little life can have some human interaction, albeit over the internet. Now I think your mother is calling, tea's ready. P.S. I think City will finish anywhere between 5-9th. 6th will be my bet with a bit of strengthening in the window.
by Tarek on September 27, 2007
I really think its going to be close this season between the top 4. everyone is saying the arses are going to cruise away but i doubt it.They scored 5 goals against derby, i dont think just cse of that scoreline, people should start saying they will win it for sure. Injuries will affect their team, and the whole balance of the team will be affected. And to those who said that we were lucky last year to win should really shut their mouth.83goals and second best defence shows that we played some great football, and on top of that, we managed to stay first when we played the last 2months with a very weakend backfour.2months of a weak defence was enough time to allow the likes of chelsea to catch on us, and they failed. This year, we will be right back in it, we are second while our team still isnt performing at its best. So arses, dont get to excited, its only 7 games played and 31 left.
by gaz on September 27, 2007
Seeing as everyone is ripping it out of everyone else's club, i will comment on my own, Everton. I couldn't care where other clubs finish, although every season i benchmark Everton's success with Spurs. I feel that if Everton finish above Tottenham in any given season it will usually have been a success. Another top 6 finish will have been a good finish for the blues. 5th will be a very good season and anything including a cup final (with a good league finish), silverware or 4th will be a dream....
by name on September 27, 2007
"Will Arsenal hold on?" No. Unlike the media, some of us are sensible and realise they've mostly played crap teams at home.
by graeme on September 28, 2007
right you sad dickhead i know and you know that you're not an educated person so why bother with the paper thin act that you are. i also think that i proved enough in my little wind up to show that i do in fact have measurable intellect. your biggest fault you fool comes in your attempt to deconstruct me(difficult as there were 3 of us posting), and in doing this you fail to take into account your own need to respond to me(the sad case, haha) and the fact that you're a regular, now who's in need of the human interaction albeit through the internet. if future think before you act you pathetic individual as some of us actually have the qualified skills to deconsruct a persons psyche unlike, i suggest, your pathetic self. but hey have a really great time posting on here with all your intellectual buddies. bye now blend take care of yoyrself .........and each othere!hahaahaha
by STARTREKHAMMER on September 28, 2007
WEST HAM WILL UP TOP TEN NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.BUT WE NEED MORE AT THE BACK.AND A BIT MORE FIRE UP FRONT.
by Shane Robinson on September 28, 2007
Top ten no doubt? Em, considering you barely avoided relegation last year I think 'no doubt' in being a tad optimistic
by Kenny Johnson on September 28, 2007
I SERIOUSLY THINK NOW IS THE TIME TO GET BEHIND THE MANAGER AND THE TEAM.PERSONALLY I'VE BEEN SICK OF ALL THIS SPECULATION AND IT CAN'T BE ANYTHING BUT UNSETTLING FOR BMJ AND THE BOYS.LET'S GIVE HIM TIL THE END OF THE SEASON BEFORE WE JUDGE.I FEEL WE AT LEAST OWE HIM THAT MUCH FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR OUR SPURS SINCE HIS ARRIVAL....ANY CHANCE OF UPGRADING THE SPURS BADGE?
by soldlogan on September 30, 2007
Liverpool...hopefull for the title but not convinced but i do recon there is some silverware with our name on it...champions of europe again??? recon we'll have barca inb the final win on pens again..anyone give me odds???
