Birmingham are gone. only Derby are finishing below them
by Ian Shephard on September 27, 2007
rubbish from a Villa fan...i should watch out mate; your team are performing above themselves, no strength in depth (as demonstrated last night)One or two injuries and all these arrogant villa fans could be looking at a relegation scrap of their own..!

I bet you are spurs fan, but I don't fancy spurs, they are going down and got what they want - top 4 (to go down one division)
by jason willis on September 27, 2007
the blues captain is a player that struggled to hold down a regular slot in the villa team. just goes to show the quality of the blues team. the blue scum are certs but anyone with half a brain knows that villa won't go down

If the title of 'too good to go down' can't be extended to Bolton how come Spurs are able to get away with it? Spurs clearly weren't good enough to beat Bolton last week and the two clubs have (in recent history) been closely matched - The thing worth pointing out is that although Spurs undoubtedly have added strength in depth over the summer but I fail to see how they have actually improved the stating 11 (despite blowing millions of £'s)... they are gifted upfront and have some good defenders... however... they will struggle to keep any harmony in the dressing room whilst allowing players time for partnerships to form on the pitch - the longer that takes the more points the team drops, the more irritated the guy sitting on the bench will become... Spurs other problem is their spineless midfield, most snakes have more backbone than Jermaine Jenas and with the exception of sick note Aaron Lennon I’d honestly struggle to deliver any praise to the Spurs midfield. Truth is Bolton and Spurs have both had bad
starts to the season but you’d expect both to pick things up at some point – however nothing is ever for certain and bad results can get on top of even the best players – it’s too early to say how the table will look but 10 games in and you can have a good idea – that’s 3 games and possible 12 points away yet (the gap between top and bottom is currently 12 points).... so if you want to predict who will get relegated the chances are it’s between the following: Bolton, Spurs, Sunderland, Derby, Fulham, Reading, Birmingham, Boro, Wigan and West Ham (who have had a good start to the season but are genuinely a poor excuse for a football club with mindless, boring, deluded fans – doomed to suffer inconsistency, inadequacy and mediocrity for eternity).

Derby, Reading and Birmingham to drop to the Championship. Watched most teams this season and they are the worst by far. Pity West Ham couldn't join them; they shouldn't be in the Premiership anyway.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bolton will turn the corner - if we haven't already. Last 3 games - drew at home with Spurs in League, drew away in Uefa Cup and beat Fulham away in Mickey Mouse Cup. Much like Spurs I honestly think our squad is too good not to get it together soon.

what a shock prediction.

Went to watch Fulham's first team against Bolton's reserves last night as a neutral and despite a poor match (I couldn't face extra time and left on 90 mins) I have to say that I was much more impressed by Bolton. When I thought about each Fulham player against the equivalent Brum player I'd have most of their midfield and attack - but our defence! I think Fulham are as bad a team as I've seen in a long time and think it will be Fulham, Derby and Sunderland for the drop.

I think the Ridgewell situation just demonstrates that MON hasn't a clue about centre halfs...look at Cahill! Cracking player. Ridgewell did a better job at Anfield that either of your 'first choices' did inyour home fixture against the same opposition...like i said... typical arrogant villa muppet. Having seen what Clemence, N'Gotty, Campbell and Fryatt did to 70% of your first team last night I'd be hiding away instead of shouting my mouth off!

What a crashing bore - or to misquote Basil - No Degree for stating the bl**ding obvious. Six matches played - lets make a prediction. Don't bother with the top 4 cos its boring - well IS IT? Not this year little one.Have another look. Man Utd scraping old style gooner 1-0s....Liverpool rotating to a standstill.........kids pushing the gooners beyond their level and Chelsea??? Who knows which direction they're going. Equally, the bottom half is anybody's.So few points between them it would take an idiot or a troublestirrer to make a prediction after so few matches. Well lets put it this way, to make a prediction supported by so much opinion and ego, and very little substance. I hope you revisit your post in six months time mate - you may need an identity change KRO

Arsenal to go down, on each other...so gay there should be a pink league especially for them and there gypsie supporters.

Of a Villa fan. They are, as a rule, little more than a throwback to neanderthal times.. Call him out to debate an issue then. 1) Gets Snotty 2) Gets confused 3) Gets abusive 4) loses debate 5) Gets delusional 4th then 2nd my arse! theres some dick posting comments as my name. some sad bastard with nothing better to do. i only posted the first one. but to reply to one valid point from ian shephard about martin o'neil's handling of ridgewell & cahill... you are right in a sense, but the villa are swarming with centre backs at the moment. i wouldnt play cahill over laursen & mellberg, especilliay the performance laursen put in against chelsea. he was one of the key reasons the villa won that game. but ridgewell simply couldnt make the first team week in week out. theres laursen, mellberg, davies & knight as valuable centre backs, so who needs ridgewell?

Everyone forgets that even under Big Sam, for the past few years when we finished top 6 or top 8, we had a dodgy spell in every single season which cost us a champions league place, normally losing 6 games on the trot. We're just doing it again, but at the start of the season.
by championship spurs on September 27, 2007
to the championship, then maybe in my lifetime i can see a title winning spurs team! COYS lets get relegated and take the championship by storm...yidooo yidoo yidoo........................
by spurs mob on September 27, 2007
it hates we to say it but, i feel spurs will go down specially with thta joke martin jol as manager i am sick and tired of his stupid decisions bringing wrong players, tactics, good bye jol get the sack so spurs dont go down
by AP on September 27, 2007
we will not go down because game by game we have the same points as last year. This Year------------Last year Sunderland(A)lost Sheff Wed(A)lost Everton(H) lost Everton(H) lost Derby(H) won Watford(H) won Man utd(A) lost Man utd(A) lost Fulham(A) Draw Fulham(A) Draw Arsenal(H) lost Arsenal(H) Draw Bolton(A) Draw Bolton(A) lost that unless I am proved wrong equals game by game the same amount of points.

I know the blues are always going to figure when thoughts turn to relegation, but we've shown a lot of desire to win games this season (Middlesborough excepted!). The lack of desire is what got us relegated last time, and although the quality may not be there all the way through the team- we're looking pretty solid in most positions. Kapo I think is the key for us this season. McSheffrey will surely (hopefully..) return to form, and Ridgewell for a couple of mil was one hell of a signing! Don't count us out yet as we're looking an 'orrible team to play against and for the first time in years, we look like scoring goals too! KRO

i dont see what this guy is talking about . saying wigan are sitting comfortably THEY ARE ON THE SAME POINTS AS BIRMIGHAM AAND SUNDERLAND i think it will be bolton , derby and wigan who will go down . in my eyes sunderland will come mid table as we have had a solid start and have pplayed well in all games exept tthe wigan game . we also have a lot of injuries and on saturday not 1 of our starting midfielders are going 2 be playin due 2 injury (and 1 suspension) . We have an exellent attack with jones and chopra who where in my eyes the two best attackers in the championship last season AND DONT FORGET WE HAVE THE GREATEST MANAGER IN THE WORLD . oh and birmigam its not luck that we get late late goals . not like ur fatty manager who will give up after going 1-0 down you basterds
