Comments (12) by LB on October 07, 2007 How many chances can a striker miss from 6 yards before he is considered a failure? It would be ok if he did do the other things he is on the pitch for. But the last two games Adebayor has refused to run, has consistently miscontrolled the ball and generally pranced around the pitch like a peacock. I did not see him in the second half at all. I really don't want to slag off players but I was so angry watching this guy act like he's so important. by AR53NAL on October 07, 2007 Clearly, since all that's mattered to you has been "the over-priced match-day programme",you my friend missed a match.FYI The match went well,Arsenal won,AGAIN,played well against a good side...But if you're into 'Low-priced match-day programmes',You can always go catch Spurs or Westham.Everything there is fairly cheap and you're always assured either a home loss, draw or a boring game. PS:Enjoy the Home-fans' bitching for Half-time. by carljames on October 07, 2007 last year we would have drawn that game, fair play to walcott made the difference when he came on,great to see the goals being shared by the strikers also by Dafa Likcly on October 07, 2007 good game bad ref all is well by http://z4.invisionfree.com/The_Arsenal/index.php? on October 07, 2007 your spot on about ade , the most over rated gooner ever but the game itself was ok esp as we got the points , it does good to have a little scare every now and then but infairness sunderland didnt deserve anything from the game check out the arsenal forum for all true gooners by tony on October 07, 2007 You complete losers always on ade's back......What do you kow? Zere on October 07, 2007 Arsenal were rather at ease when they totally dominated the pitch against Sunderland. As expected they showed spectuacular show. Sunderland were equally fabulous in their defence and attack. However Arsenal's steadfastness finally paid. They emerged victorious. Adebayor's face to face encounter with Sunderland's goal keeper was momentous. He could have simply levered up the ball over the goal keeper who fell to form a barricade. A striker is always confronted with decision making challenges in seconds. So is the case with all players. by Gunners_my life on October 07, 2007 Games like this is what separate contenders to pretenders. Last season we probably would have drawn this game. To become champion you have to be lucky as well GOOD. We did not see vintage Arsenal today but, 3point is what the Dr ordered and we got it...Lets enjoy this until Bolton comes around next wk.. by KACHI(owerri) on October 07, 2007 well what can u say,we have the three points,we almost slipped a bit,but then you need to win games like this and you need a bit of luck to do this.i belive that this team has what it takes to go all the way.my biggest fear is that,we dont self distruct. last season we could have drawn this game, but we are in all honesty doing the business. as for ade, lets leave him alone,he works hard for the team,he can do with a bit more of concentration in his game.as for v.p,doing what we need.getting the goals.overall,we have done the business.and we are looking good.lets keep the train moving. GUNNERS 4 LIFE!! by Cesco on October 07, 2007 All you guys getting on ade back, he might miss a few chances but his workrate for the team is excellent, he adds a new dimenson to the frontline, if he don't score then ther is senderos and rvp. Most of our team are kids and they are showing a lot of character, especially after letting a two goal lead slip, last year we would have drawn these sort of games, must say their second goal was sloppy from our defending to the keeper, but the main thing is we kept going to look for the third and fourth goals. I am sure this is why people pay to watch arsenal and our stadium is always sold out because of the entertainment, bring on bolton. by Gary Coulson on October 08, 2007 As usual, the new fans complain when Arsenal dont win by 5 or 6! Older fans remember losing games like this at home, so are happy that we are winning. We are top of the league, ten wins on the spin, lots of goals and still people complain.
